P/S: A noob question from noob me, how to listen to the OGG file Pix uploaded? |

hi miss silver isle,
i think you can find free ogg player on internet.. but otherwise, even windows media player can play the AIF file so you could download this one instead. Both formats are different encoding of the same solo... if you didn't like the AIF file, you won't like the OGG one either |

off-topic:
.aif are great when doing voice over...not only they have high playback quality, but they get to stay in the top layer of the audio layer...so more clarity....do correct me if i'm wrong... edit: opps, someone post my question already.... just a note : the files i uploaded are a "50-seconds" clip with my solo on it, not the whole song !
maybe led zep could upload the AIF (or WAV) of the CD track directly if audiophiles need it for better performance rust reaver : play the same melody, but offset by a constant number of intervals, accordingly to the scale being "used" by the melody... (yes, it doesn't sound easy and it does require some harmony background !) |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Feb 14 2007, 06:52 PM) Sigh..... will have to learn harmonies from scratch...... you could probably record one solo... then play another one over it, "ikut feel" style, and see what happens... might end up doing a one guitar pentatonic solo then!! heck, you may even come up with some really cool contrapuntal stuff that way... ...or do it Randy Rhoads-style: record the same solo twice and pan each track 100% right and 100% left respectively (although, Randy does lay down a 3rd center track as well). That way, you'll end up with a slight chorus-like effect... |

QUOTE(asura_86 @ Feb 14 2007, 10:29 PM) here's my plain, simple, messy off key solo... That's a great intro man! I love it!!! The solo is decent but if you wanna get a lyrical solo, try to leave spaces in between licks. It's like your guitar speaks non-stop without stopping for a breath, the listener can tell. http://download.yousendit.com/82CAD09E59CBBF88 do let me know which part is wrong/off...in the process of learning...
