QUOTE(cricketboy @ Jun 30 2016, 03:56 PM) Anyone have problem on car registration? My civic arrived 28th to Kah motor, till today 30 Jun not yet done registration!!! Once the car arrives at the dealer, they need to organize the stock, parking/movement of the cars (as they receive tens of cars over a span of a couple of days). Then only you will get the chassis number once the dust settles. With the chassis number, they will have to prepare the paper work - sales invoice, insurance documents, payment settlement. Usually the admin office will prep these docs. Then only can register with the complete set of documents. Takes a couple of days from stock arriving to registering. After register still need to prep the car for delivery.

QUOTE(cricketboy @ Jun 30 2016, 01:25 PM) so 1st batch will have more imported parts, before local parts build up to supply Melaka assembly plant. like what happened to Civic Type-R in UK, production unit below 2k used imported parts from Japan and USA. Parts from Thailand. From Japan definitely not. It's a ckd after all.

My SA keep saying "Still pending register . Once done let u know" My car reached showroom yesterday. Today done with registration. Usually after getting e- hakmilik from bank they will register for Mysikap. Mysikap will take 2 days as jpj will liaise with kastam to check on the tax and previous summons if you have any. After that can register your car at JPJ.

I heard this 2 days ago at one of the Honda dealers, the sales manager screaming on top of her lungs to her salesman "FASTER GET THAT CIVIC OFF THE TRAILER GO PDI THAT CAR, DIFFICULT CUSTOMER WANT IT URGENTLY..!!!" And being first batch, later got problem customers fell short of blaming their impatience and blame honda instead for crappy quality...

QUOTE(Alternation @ Jun 30 2016, 04:23 PM) Bro, my car turun trailer, I go inspect. They register and I got my car 2 hours later. It depends on dealers. I think smaller dealers give more personal service. The larger ones take in a lot of stock. For my branch I heard the sales manager ordered and paid Honda Malaysia for 250 cars to be delivered before Raya, as he predicts that after Raya, sales will slump. So both their external multistorey car park stock yard and inhouse stock area was packed with cars coming in. PDI was also full and technicians have to work past normal servicing hours to do the PDI. My father ordered a Ruby Red TC-P 2 weeks ago and just collected his Civic this afternoon! This post has been edited by GeekinE90: Jun 30 2016, 03:41 PM

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 30 2016, 02:14 PM) No its not. How many ppl are going to wash twice a week like me? Majority will wash once a week that's 4 times a month which works out to be RM15 per wash. And they market it a bit lower but entice more to sign up. Plus they enrol you on a monthly basis so its guaranteed income for RV. Anyway, let RV deal with the business side of it. That's their problem not ours. We wash our cars and if we are happy with the end result for RM60 then its fine. Are they completely cool that we just come wash our cars and not do any coating from them ? some shops i encountered if i dont buy their packages or so they like not very happy.

QUOTE(nm7 @ Jun 30 2016, 01:24 PM) I am not sure about the Civic FC, but i remember previous CVTs in S mode, the CVT is actually in Auto mode but will run the revs higher than in D mode under WOT. Once you flick the paddle shifters in S mode, it becomes a manual mode and will not be overridden in whatever gear / ratio you choose to stay in. Not sure if it will hit the rev cut or not but it will stay there and won't auto shift up as you accelerate unlike in D mode. What is WOT btw? I would expect it to behave that way, but the videos I have watch seems to be showing it emulates traditional shifting. QUOTE(Alternation @ Jun 30 2016, 01:49 PM) I just checked there's shift point in the 0-100 videos. the shift points Is at 50+mph and the rpm at 5.7k. I didn't go that high and sustain the acceleration, probably that's why I didn't feel the shift point. Wil try again once hit 1000km. Yes, which is why I'm wondering the S is it CVT style of shifting or emulates traditional shifting ala like paddle shift.
