Is it possible to use the prepaid sim for Shopee databack on a mobile router?
Right now i'm using the data via hotspot from my 2nd phone, would be nice not to carry 2 phones around in the office. This post has been edited by tolaktakjatuh: Jul 11 2021, 06:38 PM |

QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Jul 10 2021, 08:19 PM) Anyone here have exceeded their allocated monthly data quota from Yes Prihatin with device plan? .I had exceeded the allocated 15GB quota few days ago (purposely use it up though, I have Unifi 100mbps at home) and now running on reduced speed (up to 512kbps, at par with Hotlink Unlimited Prepaid with fair use reached), just as what Yes described on their FAQ. It is the fastest "basic internet" ever available in the market. (Note that their normal basic internet offered to other plans is up to 128kbps) Good for social messaging/checking emails, online radio streaming and low resolution videos. Social Media like Facebook and Twitter is fine (well, a little bit slow). Loading webpages will be a little bit slow (will need some patience for that). Not recommended for downloads though, will take significant time to do so. Hotspot usage is definitely possible (on mobile phone, don't know if there is any restrictions). The image below is the Speedtest on fast.com (Netflix), running on stable low speeds of 400++ kbps each time I do Speedtest. Yes has whitelisted Speedtest.net site, so the speed on Speedtest is the maximum speed possible for the tower to reach. ![]() wow.. every telcos need to implement 512kbps now.. no more 64kbps plz.. 5g juz around the corner.. thanks for testing it out... QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Jul 11 2021, 11:17 AM) .this guy bragging bout downloading movie? he/she should be fined 100K.. make me geram to death.. no wonder internet so slow nowadays.. #%^&*@!... Here is the thing.Obviously, there will be FUP on any unlimited wireless broadband service. Because of these person who try to bypass and misuses the service, we (regular users) all suffered. Because the cheapest fibre Internet cost like Rm 89 from unifi and tied down to a 2 yrs contract, it makes unlimited data at RM 30/nth more attractive. Worse still some places the fibre optic box is located far away, and TM will charge additional Rm 200-300 installation fees. And that's where I fully support FUP. 100GB is a generous FUP for normal non abusive user. Now I'm on your side too, and I don't wish to have abusers on the same tower as me. |

Well i also did access it just earlier this month, retrieving my final free data.. But tbh altho is it free data, it is quite slow at my area tbh.. So since it is ending, might as well end the service as well |

Without knowing where is the tower location and knowing how many users running on Yes4G, we cant just conclude its "using same infra". Both factors I mentioned above, far distance and alot users, can affect vastly the speed. And secondly - I hate to say this - I don't really trust Speedtest.net |

QUOTE(kimgy86 @ Jul 18 2021, 12:24 PM) yes 4g only support band 20, 38 and 40? Band 20 - Tower coverage is further/wider than Band 38 and 40 , hence will capture more users. Bandwidth is also slightly narrower for sure. i can connect band 20, but it is slow i can connect band 38 and band 40 too, but only one bar, which make it unstable and slow too... Band 38 & 40 - Higher frequency = Wider bandwidth , but coverage is shorter. When you are too far away from the tower , it will be slower for sure. For me I am using Band 20, but so far my area is fine, not too slow either (Again your tolerance and mine is different , I can tolerate anything below 6Mbps but not until 1Mbps) Possibility Band 20 has congestion. Depending on your area This post has been edited by SleeplessEyes: Jul 18 2021, 01:26 PM |
