i just want to know something over here, when i drive my sentra over 120km/h, if lets say i press the brake, the brake pedal and the steering will start to vibrate and i really dont know what is the problem? is it because of the tyres or b/pad or ....

can anyone provide me some advice.
Thank you in advance  notworthy.gif

im driving, 1.6 SG (AT)
tyres, Yokohama S306

That could mean your disc brakes are not smooth or warped, time to skim the brake discs... If it's warped, then time to change to a set of new brake discs... It could also mean that ur wheel alignment is off, check your wheel alignment too...

sentra 1.6 1986 owner here..

anybody got jalan here to help me find an engine?

SR16VE Neo VVL N1 spec
*
Ah, a B13 owner, welcome welcome! rclxms.gif

SR16VE N1 is ultra rare, I'm not even sure if it's possible to source for one here in M'sia. Even if you did get to find one, expect to pay more than RM14K for it... sweat.gif

I just bought a SR16VE (Pulsar VZ-R) halfcut a few weeks ago to be installed into my B14...

Yeah, you can do that, but u will need to import those modding parts, Nissan performance parts are hard to find here...

thanks for the info bro..  i will check it a.s.a.p notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

U're welcome, hope it's not too big of a problem...

QUOTE(kaizer @ Jun 6 2007, 01:31 PM)
If I'm not mistaken, N16 doesn't allow caster angle changes. We can however hav camber (with camber screws) and toe settings.
Bro, please find the link to another angle of the same care here...

FYI, as far as I know, there are atleast two N16 that is running on NISSAN 4 pot calipers (I know 1 of them, which he is using the set from R32). That's not those elcheapo 'Belembo big brake cover kit'. Jus my two cents.

Yeah, I believe all Sentras have fixed Caster angles...

OK, now I see it... It's a 4-pot caliper... biggrin.gif

Added on June 9, 2007, 1:29 amOh yes, a little update on my car modding project... This afternoon I went down to Balakong to pay for the SR16VE halfcut I booked a few weeks ago... Then watched as they lift the halfcut onto the lorry to be transported to my mech's workshop in Gombak... The halfcut also came with a fuel tank and rear axle and disc brakes...

Bloody hell, I tell you... As I led the lorry to the workshop, it started to rain heavily, luckily the lorry driver put up a cover over the halfcut... And the traffic jam to KL was damn terrible... shakehead.gif Then finally reached my mech's workshop (it was almost flooding outside the workshop!), my mech's boys painstakingly hoisted the halfcut down from the lorry and placed it inside the workshop...

So, the hard part is done... Now, for the even harder part... Arranging for my car to be spray painted... Then start work on the installation... Oh yeah, need to ask my mech to steam clean the engine too as per recommended by a friend... nod.gif Let's see how it goes tomorrow...

Here's the pics of my Sentra's modding... Sorry for the late posting, I was too darn busy lately... Pic quality is not good due to the less than desirable lighting inside the workshop...

Man this is an epic in the making still so quiet.

The Sentra thread has always been a quiet thread... sweat.gif

The workshop just spray painted my Sentra's engine bay, I think they're getting ready to install the engine soon...

Went to PH Auto to ask for 2 units of ABS Speed Sensors for the 2 rear wheels, they will call up TCM to inquire.

Yeah, on wheel will probably give me that figure... I'll need to do a dyno after all the modding and spray painting...

It's a B14, mate... The N15 Pulsar shares a lot of similar parts (including chassis) with the B14... nod.gif

According to my mech friend, he said no need to... He will only flush the engine and install a new clutch... He said the condition of the engine is still good, so no need to overhaul...

No need get N1 la... SR20DET oredi can pwn my engine liao... Some more, SR16VE N1 is extremely rare, only 500 units produced for the global market...

QUOTE(nlik @ Jul 18 2007, 12:05 PM)
haha..u now having one of the dream engines for any sentra owner. What other mods that needs to be done for safety? bigger brakes? welding? bars?
*
Well, so far the mods I've done is just a full transplant, meaning almost everything from the SR16VE halfcut were transferred over to my Sentra, except for the ABS...

Yeah, the brakes are definitely bigger in size... Bigger than the ones on the N16 Sentra... My future mod may include installing custom reinforcement bars under the car to beef up the chassis rigidity...

As for sports rim, I suggest you dun go beyond 15", try and look for Lenso rims, it's relatively affordable and good quality... As for muffler, well, try not to go for those N1-type... sweat.gif

nice pics bro....
just love to see the rpm meter redline at 8krpm brows.gif

when is ur car ready bro? do share with us the driving experience....

neovvl is running on variable cam + valve timing right? not like vtec which limited to valve lift rite? (or i was wrong for both .. tongue.gif )
*
Thanks, dude. Yeah, the 8,000rpm redline is a beautiful sight... wub.gif

NEO VVL works quite similarly to Honda's VTEC, read below to find out what's the difference:

QUOTE
Nissan Ecology Oriented Variable Valve Lift and Timing (commonly known as NEO VVL) is an automobile variable valve timing technology developed by Nissan. VVL varies the timing, duration, and lift of valves by using hydraulic pressure switch between two different sets of camshaft lobes. It functions similarly to Honda's VTEC system. One difference from Honda's VTEC system, is that NEO VVL engages the change of intake and exhaust cams independently.

Malaysia Tan Chong Really will stop selling Nissan Sentra soon because to change Nissan Latio come in malaysia?? Nissan Sentra still is good selling from Malaysia Tan Chong... or they will take America Sentra to be malaysia new Nissan Sentra or Japan Special make a New Sentra/ Sunny for Us?
*
I dun think they are going to bring in the new C-1 platform Sentra (USDM)... Japan had completely phased out the Sunny/Sentra and Pulsar ranges and replaced them with the Latio and Tiida ranges... I dun think there will be anymore new Sentras...
