Hi Guys,

I am using Unifi 30mbps. Recently notice that connection speed is very slow.

Fyi,around 10-15 ppl are using Unifi 30mbps. Do I need to get a better router or need to upgrade my speed for faster connection?

Yup. I have been using one (Hardware ver 1) for nearly 2 years. Zero issues. On average 10-15 wireless actively connected 24 x 7. Very stable.

Hi guys,

Im using Unifi standard L7-N-R2000 dlink router. I tried port forwarding using the function "port forwarding" or "virtual server" under the advanced tab category but when i check the ports online using this site http://www.portchecktool.com , it says connection time out for the ports i forwarded.

Has anyone of you managed to forward ports by using this function?

If you have limited budget, just take TL-WR841N from TP-Link,I also want consider to take this, technician just came today and he also told me that go to change router yourself if you feel no good. Archer C5 quite recommend for 30mbps as well if you have more budget.

If anything wrong, hope somebody do correction.

And does somebody use TL-WR841N? Does the router stable and good although it is cheaper?

I was using TL-WR841ND previously and the connection keeps dropping. At first I thought it is a problem with the router so I sent it for warranty but it is still the same after replacing a new one. Ended up I bought a new asus router and I have been using it for one year plus and it is so far so good.

Ic. Thanks for the confirmation. It is good to hear that.

I had waited for a total of 2.5 years before this came. I have been using the 4Mbps Streamyx with no chicle for the past 2 years.

They just finished this thing yesterday. Any idea when I can start registering for the unifi service?
I try to register only, but my address is stil yet to show in the system.
*
as my experience, after I saw the fiber termination box and cable guy lay down fiber, takes around 1 year for unifi available at my house. It might takes less or more laugh.gif

Hi all!

I am currently struggling with my Wifi COVERAGE connectivity. Since Unifi router has to stick with HyppTV together.

I am living in a 2 storey house, so happen my TV is on the Ground floor's living room.

Problem: Internet connection is really bad in my room which is located on the 1st Floor. (It's like the other end from the Router).

Wanted to ask, how can I solve this?
I don't only want a stable download or upload speed, I want to have the connectivity which is able to PLAY ONLINE GAME with no lag.

Should i buy a better repeater or changing the Router (i bought 1 TP-Link before, was told by the sales consultant it is just plug n play, if there's any problem can just call the hotline, the hotline is directing me to Mainland China's teleconsultant and they got no idea what the heck is UNIFI & HyppTV in Malaysia, therefore the router stays there and collect dust only)

Or anyone can please advise what should I do.

Thanks!!!!!
