Depends. Some get like 6% some get more. Its very subjective.

The gift trick doesnt work as they good are coming into the country and has to be taxed, regardless its for personal or business / trading purposes.

On general they have a thing for luxurious items. But lately I see anything below RM 1000 ( plus shipping ) can escape. It used to be RM 500. LOL.

I have managed to negotiate at the airport when I was trying to smuggle in my helmet. HAAAHAHAHA...... good luck bro.

For those who fix their old vintage Lego sets, do you have your way to print them if these are lost? I have a couple of the tiles with decoration that are missing, and buying these are very expensive online. I'm thinking of printing them and sticking it onto the tiles instead.

You can claim the missing part/broken part from here, is FOC

It also depends on who is the shipper. Last time (back when the Lego Arkham Asylum was first released), I ordered that and got taxed. But the shipping company paid for the tax, so when they delivered it, I just had to pay the shipper for the tax.

If I remember as of last year they are still using this method to calculate the tax
Value of item + Freight charges* + insurance (1% of the value of the item)

* not the shipping fee you paid, they have table they follow to calculate this, based on where the item came from and how heavy it is, exorbitantly priced. Eg. My order last year the value of the item was RM 152, the shipping was USD 15, but the freight charges were RM 535 in the tax receipt. The total amount taxed was around RM 30.

Blame your seller for it.

You need an invoice with shipping charges stated very clearly inside. Otherwise they will ask the courier for the charges which is bloated.

No news on any Star Wars UCS coming out this year? Feeling quite bored with all the new offerings...

On the other hand, I already ordered a custom display coffee table for my MF. Can't wait for it to arrive, hopefully it looks exactly as what I wanted (Although the I stole the design from someone on google lol)

Thanks, had to use a small cheap Ikea table as a temporary display table for almost 1 year sweat.gif

I actually don't know who is making it lol. My wife's friend is doing some renovation for her apartment through her designer, i tumpang to add in the coffee table lol. The designer will instruct the factory to build according to the design.

But the price quoted was nearly RM2k before delivery, which was way cheaper than a con job company called grabit.my which quoted me RM4,400 for the same design lol
