Why can't they just have the official Lego.com here? Sigh.

Anyone know how to buy from Lego.com and reship to Malaysia using freight forwarding?

I tried hopshopgo once to ship the 10937 Arkham Asylum set once (when it was first released, wasn't sure if Malaysia was gonna bring it in back then)

Not sure if its worth it considering the shipping and the current exchange rate. But if money is not an issue for you, you can try them. You won't be able to buy directly from Lego.com since it checks if your credit card was issued in the US, but you can get hopshopgo to buy it for you (just give them the link)

No, I read from some Singapore forums that people there have had bad experiences with Vpost.

I think I've gotten lazy when ordering stuff internationally because
a) Customs - Taxation (I haven't ordered stuff internationally since GST was implemented, so not sure how the tax calculations are done).
First time I got it was 10 % (because Fedex doesn't print the shipping total on the item, so Customs assigned their own shipping) If this happens to you and you order from the US, the value of your item cannot exceed RM 120, because the shipping that Customs sets for items from the US is RM 380.

2nd time I got taxed 30% because the seller declared the item as plastic material (they were action figures), which falls under a different category. I just rejected the shipment and the seller refunded the total.

b) Local postage - after the item reaches Malaysia, our local post office doesn't always deliver immediately/gets lost (some of the items I order internationally had a stamp that it was released from Customs about 5 weeks ago, but that it goes to the postal service and sits there)

You can get it from here I guess:

That set was released in 2015, so its out of production now.

Anyone ordered online from brickmagic Asia before? Are they reliable?

I ordered from them last time when the Disney Castle was first released. They called me to say that my shipment was being delayed (delayed by only 2 days) because the one which way they had was not in good condition and that they were getting one which was in good condition for me. And the one which arrived was indeed in good condition.

Overall I think the service was good. Saved me the trouble of having to go line up at the Lego Certified Store (which is also under the same company, I think) on a weekday.

It also depends on who is the shipper. Last time (back when the Lego Arkham Asylum was first released), I ordered that and got taxed. But the shipping company paid for the tax, so when they delivered it, I just had to pay the shipper for the tax.

If I remember as of last year they are still using this method to calculate the tax
Value of item + Freight charges* + insurance (1% of the value of the item)

* not the shipping fee you paid, they have table they follow to calculate this, based on where the item came from and how heavy it is, exorbitantly priced. Eg. My order last year the value of the item was RM 152, the shipping was USD 15, but the freight charges were RM 535 in the tax receipt. The total amount taxed was around RM 30.

Seller said shipper will be DHL, so I guess pay tax thru them as I experienced once, still not sure abt buying as the shipment is quite big and heavy, 13kg+ iinm, plus theres the tax issue. Anyway they told me will hold for me a day or so.

Thanks for the explanation bro

13 kg? Is it the UCS Millennium Falcon?

Impulse has a promo on that if that's what you are trying to import
