Hi guys,

Wanna ask about brickmagic asia. Anyone bought from them before? Their price seem very cheap for the one I'm looking.

TQ

Actually Lego is cheaper in many countries. About 30% or so. Not sure because of tax or because the retailer want big profit due to our small market. I also asked my sis help me buy Ferrari set which is 499 here but 3xx in Japan. The fact that they are doing 30% off now says it all.

Yesterday received the City Airport Terminal set from Brickmagic. The delivery is interesting because it shows you the current movement of the guy plus the ability to message or call him.

It also depends on who is the shipper. Last time (back when the Lego Arkham Asylum was first released), I ordered that and got taxed. But the shipping company paid for the tax, so when they delivered it, I just had to pay the shipper for the tax.

If I remember as of last year they are still using this method to calculate the tax
Value of item + Freight charges* + insurance (1% of the value of the item)

* not the shipping fee you paid, they have table they follow to calculate this, based on where the item came from and how heavy it is, exorbitantly priced. Eg. My order last year the value of the item was RM 152, the shipping was USD 15, but the freight charges were RM 535 in the tax receipt. The total amount taxed was around RM 30.

Blame your seller for it.

You need an invoice with shipping charges stated very clearly inside. Otherwise they will ask the courier for the charges which is bloated.
