this case looks so sexy and nice. anyone knows where to get it and the price is not skyhigh?
*
I have this case along with titanium color. Helped to buy the gold color my friend also.
All bought from eBay. The price ranging from RM75-100 including shipping (depends on the currency status and shipping price).
It took almost 1 month to reach.
Buying from Amazon or from manufacturer web will be more expensive.
Be careful for the backside can get scratch. Anyway, I really like the feeling holding the phone with this case.

The watch industry faced this problem for decades di.

Too many people wear their 30 meter water resistant watch swimming. Swimming pool don't reach 50m for sure but rating is for the water pressure the watch face while immersed at 30m. Once you start moving about... the pressure against the seals increases dramatically.

IP68 is nowhere near 30meters.

edit: numbers... brain not working.
*
I immersed my s7e into the pool about 1 meter deep, for 10 seconds, and I took photos with the phone while playing water, holding it wet, for an hour and later rinsed the phone under running water for 3 mins because the pool water was salty. I think IP68 is good in handling this kind of situation.

None. They're all crap.
Thanks.

Out of curiosity why do you say all the tempered glass are bad? Are there really no good ones? Even the spigen etc? Sorry if this has been discussed before but haven't been following this thread very often.
Recently quite tempted to get this phone and I'm not a big fan of cases. Was thinking to just slap a dbrand skin on the back and a tempered glass for the screen but reading some of the comments of how fragile the phone is is a turn off.

A lot of youtubers do alot more extreme "water test" with theirs and surviving. Perhaps there's some extra tolerance designed-in nobody knows.

All we know is that the S7 was designed to pass the IP68 tests and if its designed for more, I'm sure the marketing department in Samsung will make a lot of noise about it.

Many of the folks here have bought and tried plus there's a very long thread on XDA.

All the tempered glass protector in the market now affects the screen sensitivity to a certain extent... from bad to atrocious.... among other issues.

Spigen's protectors for the S7 edge is not tempered glass.

correct. as long as don't go beyond what is logic, should be fine. Those are just lucky, there maybe many other unfortunate cases as what told by the sc today.

A lot of consumers dunno also.. some might see nice underwater pool photos and attempt to do it themselves while they hold the phone swimming olympic level breaststroke and butterfly.

None of the tempered glass for s7edge is good.
Either it has ssensitivity issue, didn't stick well, or color didn't match the phone's body. You may refer to s7e tempered glass forum in XDA.
About that fragility, not going to comment. I used to use S6e without screen protector at all, with only back case, dropped it few times (especially from bed's height) and currently using s7e with spigen crystal screen protector with back case, dropped two times from bed height again but so far so good.
Ref: bed height with mattress around 2.5feet.

Quickpic was a good app, until it was purchsed by Cheetah. You can always grab the old version here:

It's good that each of us test it out. At least we know if it is not water resistant, we can still claim warranty for repair.

AFAIK, water damage is not under warranty cover. so, do it at your own risk

I think in most cases, its the consumers who uses it beyond what its meant to do/ designed to do.

RedDevils88 is correct. There's no warranty for water damage. The same if you buy a water-resistant camera too.

In short, there's moisture indicator built near every potential water entry point for service center to know if the seal was compromised and masuk air.

To understand more, you can watch this tear down.

QUOTE
Even thought the phone is 'water resistant' it would not be wise to always trust that it will stay that way. Even a small drop of your device, or a bend in the frame will dislodge a component enough to ruin the iP68 rating. A dry phone is better than a broken phone any day. Better safe than sorry!

Also things like time, heat and chlorine may effect the seals.
