I'm retired and this is part of my retirement plan to get better returns. I've set a target of how much to invest in ASNB- ASW- ASM & AS1M

I've completed my top up for AS1M & need a little bit more for ASM. Somehow it's easier to get those units first compare to ASW.

It's difficult to get ASW but not impossible as I'd still managed to get some every day. Just need more patience & more luck for it. Sikit sikit jadi bukit as what @nexona88 always said.
*
Oh, didn't know that nowadays it is such a laborious task to purchase ASW.

The scenario was quite different when I started my hunting trip for ASW late last year. At that time, it was like an easy peasy effort...almost a certainty to hit my target continuosly with every visit to the agent...however, it was for a teeny-weeny amount only.

Good luck on your quest for ASW...with that attitude, you are surely on track to complete your quest.

QUOTE(PETERT2016 @ May 27 2016, 04:43 PM)
Plan to top up 4 digits to my ASM and ASW today. When it is my turn only 14 unit for ASM and 2 unit for ASW. End up ASNB counter said got around 10k AS1M available around 2:45pm. So she ask me to grab AS1M while waiting for other ASX. Only manage to grab 1.6K AS1M out of 10k and open AS1M account immediately. Ask her to try again ASW and manage to grab only 1K out of 1.4k showed in screen.
*
Wow, I assumed it is customarily for ASNB staff to capture the minimum units for account opening. In your case, the staff grabbed 1.6k to get things rolling...caya la sama dia biggrin.gif

QUOTE(nexona88 @ May 27 2016, 03:31 PM)
ahahah well I also have that experience before, but it's lady. she looks like Chinese, but when I inquire. got shocked that's she bumi. didn't wear tudung, that's why I mistaken  innocent.gif so in the end I failed to get ASW  biggrin.gif

so lesson learned. in Malaysia, not all Chinese looking gal is Chinese but she maybe Malay Muslim smile.gif

Cepat2 pay a visit to the Land of Hornbills, then try to distinguish the Orang Ulu from the Chinese community.

Most probably you'll rclxub.gif ...also ada high probability become lust.gif ...no joke punya lol.gif

Visited ASNB to complete my Pengisytiharan Amanah (& EPF nearby) .
Finally it's done. rclxm9.gif
Nearly got stuck till 3pm waiting for it as the Commissioner of oath was about to leave for Friday's prayer. Paid $6 for the whole process.

Managed to get 2 transactions, 4 digits of ASM from out of 7 attempts (1/2 hourly) while waiting for my 'PA' stuff.

Today, very hard to 'see' ASW units as per ASNB staff.

While waiting, a guy walked in to withdraw big sum of ASW but my happiness was cut short as the security guy reminded me that he's a BUMI!
Not quota for CHINESE! cry.gif  cry.gif

Sabah Chinese. As long 1 of the parents is bumi. Children born out is bumi status.

Got to know this from a trip. The man is chinese. His wife is half ethnic. Therefore children all entitled bumi status. This only applies for Sabah.

Some Chinese are Muslim due to married to Muslim/Malay husband or they were adopted by Muslim/Malay family. Last time some Chinese parents with too many children and poor so they gave away some children to the Malays.

If you work in Singapore earning SGD, will you bring back your money and invest in ASX? I heard FD rate in Singapore around 2%?

Visited 1 bank, 1x only after ASNB today.

Managed to get 5 'baby' units- 4 ASM + 1 ASW (300u) which is an extra bonus before weekend rest.
ASM still need a bit of top up.

Overall this week,  thumbup.gif  ASM is the quickest to top up. ASW is the slowest but still able to get a bit of units everyday. thumbup.gif

I was adviced to avoid visiting ASNB, Shah Alam on Mon & Friday. My previous visits were for opening accounts & settling the Pengisytiharan Amanah. (& neighboring EPF stuff)
There is no need for me to re visit ASNB in future as I can just try my luck with my neighboring banks. I do have a regular bank which I'd try without the fear of being intimidated by them.
Good luck for your future top up.
( thumbsup.gif for settling your priority in life.)

Sign on the spot, pay RM100 (current promo), get it acknowledged by Pesuruhjaya Sumpah (RM 8 for me, auntie got RM6), then passed back the documents to PNB. An official document is supposedly sent to unitholder in about 2-3weeks' time (haven't received in my case).

I pay RM100 plus RM10 without waiting for PS

All this buying of Amanah Saham...

Past records so far so good. With things not looking bright at the moment, is there any possibility the dividend will go lower than 6%?

If you see in the EPF thread, there has started considerations based on today's news article...

Lower than 5 I think many people will panic and mass withdrawal? Hmm... Because it never go below 6 in 20-30 years since it started.

Haha. My units holding is very limited, don't think will enough to be so called 'any number of units/any book' scenario...maybe within 30minutes all fully subscribed biggrin.gif

About last year Mega Sale...I think I know who is that guy that sold his...close friend, units in millions...reason = something to do with bijan smile.gif

P/S: I didn't knew that time the public can buy...plus only knew about it later
