So far, I had been using KissAnime and Funimation.

I guess, each one would have their own preferences

I suggest neither... Get a proper dedicated media player.. HTPCs, Android/Android TV, RPI.. You'll get much better performance especially where Kodi, high bitrate 4K, X265, etc files are concerned.. However, if those are the only 2 options your are interested in.. Then go for the Fire TV Stick.

I would like to use Kodi with real debrid to stream 4k HDR and surround movies.
Currently in my mind was few setup:
1. Fire TV Stick 4k 2018
2. Mi Box S
3. Roku Streaming Stick+
4. Chromecast (mirror cast from tablet)
But what I search on internet, Roku not able direct install Kodi so it also use mirror cast.
Mirror cast will have disconnect issue after long run right?
Do these box and stick had surround sound pass-through?
Kindly recommend which stick or box I should go which suitable for my usage.
Thank you

As before.. completely rule out your shortlisted devices and grab from below..

1. Nvidia Shield
2. Minix Neo U9-H
3. Mecool KM9
4. Vero 4K+ (OSMC)
5. WeTek Hub and Play2
6. RPI3 (This is fairly powerful but it's more of a DIY route.. Based off your questions, I'm going to assume that you aren't ready for such tinkering yet.

These be my recommendations and in order of preference... For smooth 4K HDR + HD audio (passthrough/otherwise), I can vouch for the top 2 on the list.. You'll also require their Gigabit LAN and auto Frame Rate Matching for silky smooth 24p video playback.

I got RPI2. And I got a old old AMD laptop not using. I tired to use the laptop when I buffering 4k movies after sometimes the video and sound will out sync. Is it the laptop performance not suitable for 4k? Get a better box will solve the issue?

Yes, it's unsuitable... Even most recently released "gaming grade" laptops WILL struggle to smoothly play high bitrate HEVC 4K files. Yes, it's absurd that a <RM 1K Android OS powered box can play smoothly what a RM3K+ laptop or >RM1K HTPC can't. It's all about purpose and efficiency. While a laptop PC can do so much more that a dedicated media box can't.. But since that media box is dedicated to media consumption o the big screen, it focuses on that and does it well. So yes, get a good box and be done with it. Just one good box from a reliable brand is enough. Buy once and no hassle.

I've got express and nord. Express has more stable and fast servers in the US and UK (getting approx 30mbps dl vs 10mbps for nord) . Nord is faster if connected to Singapore server (80mbps vs 50mbps on express). Using unifi 100mbps plan.

If u wanna stream Netflix, BBC or us/uk based servers, go for express...

really, even if the devices are capable, are such 4k hdr streams easily available and reliable with kodi addons NOW?

even with vpn, realdebrid.

if so, i am surprised... since with the european laws now set to change to punish/fine those who offer pirate, i wud think few dare to continue doing it.

more so for high quality streams since the prosecutors will probably target these in particular.

i may be wrong but wud like to know the current state or affairs.

Honestly, I'm recommending primarily due to the performance of its predecessor.. The M8S Pro L.. If you plan on getting it and hoping Netflix will later work well on it. Besides some hackery...Don't get your hopes up too much. Cuz, it won't be officially supported as Netflix demands certain stuff to be hard-coded into it at time of manufacturing. Only want it'll be certified is if Netflix changes their mind and Mecool allows a recall to manually hard-code it. I don't see that happening. You should check out the couple video reviews up on YouTube to see real world performance.

This be why Russian, Chinese, Swiss, etc servers and "companies" exist.. When there's the will, there's always the way. I haven't felt the need to use RD in a while. But there be other paid premium VOD sources besides private trackers. Tis always going to be a cat and mouse game. No matter the crackdown. Media piracy is like illegal booze, drugs and prostitution. The more the government tries to crack down on em, the stronger they become. My advice to them, is instead of spending and wasting time and valuable resources on crackdowns.. Why doesn't the industry apply that same energy to making media content more open to all. The likes of Netflix, Spotify, Hulu and Apple TV have shown that there is indeed a market for this stuff.. More importantly, people are willing to pay for decent service and support.. We just don't want to be shafted. Tis all.
