Covenant no hd or 1080p movie source. A lot of movies can't play. Expert here any idea?

Having similar issue this week, with Kodi - Exodus too. On Maxis Broadband.

Very slow streaming, keeps buffering, and keep going to SD . Zzz.. Feels like i watching VCD again

But seriously though.. Read some issue about Lambd leaving Exodus/Kodi or something , so not stable streaming nowadays? Or possible Maxis Broadband/TM throttling our streaming?

works like normal with HD/FHD on 17.4. what did u try to play?

same here on kodi 17.4 no hd or 1080p links to play on convenant addon

Exodus is pretty much dead. Use alternatives.


I'll check out the Covenant addon for 1080p issue and report.

Kodi V17.4... Tested and works fine on my end.. Able to fetch 1080p using auto-play. Same with 720p. So it depends on the content and availability. You may want to invest in real-debrid premium and set it up in the urlresolver addon.

Thanks bro voncrane. I just updated to Kodi 17.4, and installed Covenant. Same thing.. I noticed there are different servers, but same SD streams even if I click on HD. :S And some movies just "loading screen", and then it just disappears with no movie loaded. Urgh..

Sorry guys, I'm so noob at this, but it's , lack of a better word, "annoying" when the parents keep nagging every single day that they can't watch any movie (cause im on maxis. No HyppTV and no astro...)

Yep.. All depends on content availability. The more popular the content, the more reliable sources available to stream from and the higher the chances of getting 1080p and even 4K. Naturally, the reverse is the case. So in such cases where die die must watch a particular non-popular/old content, you should try to fully download it from other sources, then play locally, else no choice, view as available on Kodi. Want constant reliability, well, there's the likes of Netflix & iFlix. Those are subscription based and very reliable. one-click load regardless of ISP.

I downloaded Kodi yesterday and managed to installed it to my Mi Box.
I could add the "kodistuff" repository but have problem to install from zip.
The error "Cannot install the addon due to invalid structure" keep popping up on the notification.

Pls advise how to solve this. Thanks

A bad zip file.. Find from other source.

covenant, like other working addons are subject to changes in the provider links.
it is true some videos do not yield HD anymore, but some others do.
u will need to keep trying and find what u want.
then again, dn be surprised they come back.
this is something u will get used to for kodi - they work, then they don't, then they work again, maybe need a new addon version/

if u hv a decent device and good broadband speed, u need not rely on just one app and one addon.
there are dozens of other apps that can get u what u want.

these are/were for SMASH addon, "replacement" of TVaddons's SALTS, 1channel, Exodus.

As TVaddons is gone, likely these replicas not working or working off n on.

I hv not used this SMASH; maybe others who have used it can comment more accurately.

I want to ask about the Kodi which resides in android tv boxes, are they special built or they are just "normal" ones ?

The reason I am asking about this is that I have a MXQ pro+ which comes with Kodi 17.3 ( armeabiv7 ). I tried to "dirty" flash over using a Kodi 17.4 but it attempted to install but failed. So I figure that I might have to backup, uninstall and install new version and then restore the configuration from the backup.

But before I do that, I want to make sure these builds of Kodi on these devices, are there anything special ? I don't want to be landed in a case where I ended up with unable to install Kodi 17.4 or installed a limping version after I uninstalled the older version.

It could be the Kodi has been customized and the signature changed. Have u try both 32-bit and 64-bit APK installer? Most of china box is running on 32-bit.
