free ones are crap, u gotta get payable ones.

So far Opera VPN is doing its job well for OnePlus phones updates.

Yes! you might need VPN once you have exceeded the limits. I tried with Hola VPN. So far so good and is free and adfree.

Hola or any free vpn does nothing in my experience.

If u r getting 4k good with hola... for the benefit other others, can u describe...

My setup - Himedia H8, 30mb line, KODI 16.1 because I like to used Sybu remote. Sybu remote doesn't work with the latest Kodi due to Zeroconf

I have these experiences when the free video feed exceeded the limit. it will prompt me to check the log. "video not able to play. pleased check log"

I found Hola VPN only works with Silverhunter. the 4k video stream still works fine for me. I select USA region.

I tried advancesetting by adding the code but it seems not working for me. So I used Hola VPN or I swtich off and turn on the ISP router. it works for me.

oh! the others 4k Addon I used is Silverhunter & Real Movie because I found these 3 addon load the movie faster.

btw! you have to open KODI inside Hola window or else I find it doesn't work.

I find hola not helping in all of them, whether 16.1 or 17.

Maybe it is useful with other apps like popcorn.


Anyway, can see from phoenix n others, more and more 4k stuff now need realdebrid accounts. Those listed as 4k but dont need are just 1080p. It wasnt like that a couple of months ago. I think the addon owners have pased the initial free-testing stage, moving towards paid accounts for 4k videos.

I heard alluc has 4k...thought I'd throw that in since I've not seen it discussed yet

real-debrid link for 4k movie work wonder.. smooth playback and less buffering. i think it's the right move for them to use rd.. no point using free hosting if it not working and always been chop down.. furthermore, it not so expensive and you can still use rd for free (happy hour time - 1pm to 7pm malaysia, which is quite good enough)

I used to have realdebrid accounts I think. If it's affordable why not, but must be stable.

Gonna be thrown to Mumbai for a month plus from this Sunday onward, my box will be my companion.

And TVB dramas on Kodi... Movies with my colleagues too in my room. Hoping for stable connection.

i am not so keen becos for me, good movies must come with hd audio; most of those videos are aac2.0.

moreover, there is limited 4k selection - i have either watched them or not interested.

Yeah, exactly. Limited 4k Selection and usually not so new movie.. but im usually use it for exodus / specto to watch reliable HD link. Got it as free some more as i promote the RD account on my web ..

Last time im using navi-x to watch this playlist call Kodi MorePower, now they have move in Pheonix Addon.
Got classic movie / collection in HD and a lot of 1080p movie with surround sound..

Just wanted to ask , How to backup kodi tranfer to new devices and upgrade it to a newer version and retain the addons ?

eg
Kodi v15 device dual core xiaomi
backup all
Transfer to kodi v17 to a quad core media play ( still search for reliable android mediaplayer)

Use the Backup addon. Can be found in the Kodi repo.

From v15 to v17 is a huge jump and a lot has changed under the hood. I'd recommend that you reinstall the Addons afresh on the V17 instead.
