I'm not sure if you guys have come across with Project M addons. It's got 4K, Dolby Digital, DTS 5.1 contents. 4K streaming very smooth and the sounds are great too!
It's under Merlin repo: Merlin repo Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jan 6 2017, 07:04 PM) Gotta ask a bit more... Mine is H96 Pro+ Octa-Core, Marshmallow 6.0.1 TV Box (32GB) Amlogic S912 CPU / 3GB RAM / Android 6.0 / 802.11a/b/g/n / 4K*2K ultra HDWhat box and android version u guys hv? Becos i would think such big files will need good speed and higher versions to work to deliver to the 4ktv. Unless they are compresed to like 10gb or so which will not be good. |

So far the best & uninterrupted non buffering 4K streaming is from Real-Movies addon. Sadly the sound mostly are 2 channels

QUOTE(silbii @ Jan 24 2017, 02:03 PM) For android TV, to get proper 5.1 (DD/DTS) to stream from HD sources, can I stick to Kodi, or better to install SPMC? Kodi works fine for me, so I just stick to KodiCoz If Kodi can do the job, i'll just stick to Kodi. A bit malas to install newer stuff now... thx |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 13 2017, 07:37 PM) tested enough on 3 devices... Quasar 9.69 is ok here Kodi 16.1 android 6.0 H96 Pro+ S912. I'll stick with Kodi 16.1quasar 9.69 is not so good on kodi 16.1, android 4.4.2 - too slow, "warm up" waiting time, hiccups with quasar burst. much smoother with 17.0, android 5.1 or 7.0 which should be the case. QUOTE(nuke13 @ Feb 15 2017, 11:16 AM) Mind sharing the minimum android box spec for the best kodi experience? Do I really need latest box with chipset like Amlogic S912 + 3GB ram? My kodi usage only 720p and 1080p source only. No need for 4k. I dont want to spend extra money for features I dont use. My budget around RM250 only. thanks in advance Boxes with Amlogic S905, 16GB + 2GB should be ok, there are plenty with RM250 price out there. Some even with 32 + 3GB like Docooler M9S-PRO. H96 Pro also a good one to considerThis post has been edited by nikrizal: Feb 15 2017, 11:27 AM |

Will Kodi 17 ever support passthrough DTS-HD MA or DD TrueHD?
