Hmm, that's indeed weird. Confirm that the folders and file naming fits Kodi's convention. I'd also advice the use of a Media Manager and during import, ask Kodi to scrape from local info instead. Of course, only do this after setting up the various media folders properly.

Sure.. You can force Kodi to check for updates or go into the official Quasar repo and install the latest Quasar Burst addon. Also, if you still have the previous providers or the unofficial Quasar repo installed? Uninstall all of them, especially the unofficial repo, as it disturbs the Quasar addon from seeking update properly..

There was a problem with the dwnlding not stopping when it should, kept going.

Decided to copy n paste the org.xbmc.kodi from 17.0 to 16.1.

It worked! so far....

Files and everything else remained unchanged. I just for some reason can't find the assign folder type in the menu or my remote anymore, if I remember correctly it used to prompt right.

No meh? Even cheapo HyppTV white box can play Kodi well.

Our definitions of "well" are world's apart.. Try installing Kodi V17 on the Hypptv box or playing 10bit/BD.iso files with Jarvis and see if it plays "well". Don't even get me started on HD Audio and UHD..

IMO, that's my default answer for folks who simply ask such generic questions.. Forces them to be realistic and rephrase.

One thing, this update seems to work better on v17.

On v16.1, i find it sluggish, has a "quasar cache warming up", need to slow,down for it.
But this may be due to my box android 4.4.2.

I just install ICdrama on unifi box. How do I right-click to save add-on as favourite, since Unifi right-click = back ?

i m not familiar with this box.

on other devices, it is usually press and hold the addon with remote select, prompt will pop up.

I'm assuming you are using the STB remote or a regular PC Mouse and trying to pull up the context menu. Try with a third party remote. Preferably one with a keyboard too.. Then press "C".

tested enough on 3 devices...

quasar 9.69 is not so good on kodi 16.1, android 4.4.2 - too slow, "warm up" waiting time, hiccups with quasar burst.

much smoother with 17.0, android 5.1 or 7.0 which should be the case.
