hi all, new p990i user reporting in...actually i bought this precious last thursday, but busy with other things. So now only have the free time to test out my phone. Sorry to ask a noob question, about the wifi, how do i connect to those who have a 'lock' symbol ?

there always a (+) symbol after the name...but in my contact the name is without the (+)

I noticed that on my M600i as well.

And I notice it's on numbers I call / receive calls from often?

isn't that apply to those secured wireless internet connection...meaning you need to know its password/keywords in order to use that wifi...
correct if i'm wrong...

can this be considered as bug...or that's normal?...

is there any major/big issues of using bigger size MSPD with P990i?...
what's the status of the latest firmware?...is it working properly?...fixed more bugs or not?...

go HERE obtain SEUS updater , install & launch it, follow SEUS instruction

be careful, I suggest you use the Smart PC Suite backup everything b4 u start SEUS, as after firmware updated your phone contains will be wiped off everything include sms/contacts.

I just got my P990i yesterday and I'm still experimenting with it.
Want to ask if there's any way I can rename the photos I take at the moment I snap it? All the photos I snapped so far is named DSC000** and it has no indication on which day/time it was taken.
SE K800i and its predecessors have the option of putting the time and date mark on the photos... Does P990i have this function as well?
I have gone through the manual and asked our new god, "Google" but can't really find anything relevant.

Yes, but part of it, R6D23 is the Organizer part version. Overall it contain four parts, (Phone, Bluetooth, Organizer & Language[CDA] ). You can refer UIQ Wiki here

download Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS), install & run it, follow instruction

SEUS will auto detect the firmware, if there is any newer version, it will ask you whether update or no go

i had tried many times, they told me my software is up-to-date.
