got my  ds970 today.. too bad the visualisation when streaming songs is not supported sad.gif
*
Yeah that's one of my complaints on the W950i paired with the DS970. unsure.gif

QUOTE(iRonTech @ Jan 16 2007, 10:15 AM)
eh? how come? Symbian's bug? (my w850i works fine with the visualisation while streaming )
*
W850i's visualizations (from what I've seen) is not the same as the W950i's visualizations. I like it when the visualizations cover the entire screen! biggrin.gif

Question for w950 owners:-

Can you charge the phone via the USB cable?

Is the screen easy to scratch?

Can synch Outlook/Calendar/etc via USB/Bluetooth?

Does it have an infrared port?

And how much did you pay for it?

Thanks!
*
1. Yes can charge via the USB cable.

2. Not really. But I use a screen protector since Day 1! biggrin.gif So no worries for me at all.

3. Sync via USB is fine. BT should be fine as well although I don't do that.

4. No.

5. Suggested Retail Price. smile.gif

QUOTE(tanjq87 @ Jan 24 2007, 12:15 AM)
So is it possible to flash my chinese supported set(P990i) to english version through SEUS? (If I were to get the latest R9 firmware)

If I bring my original set to Sony Ericsson Service Centre (Avenue K) to flash to english version. Do I need to pay any amount of money?

When I open the lens cover, the screen just stuck at the initializing screen. How to solve it? ( I have done master reset but still the same) sad.gif
*
1. No. You need to visit a service centre to change it.

2. Not sure. But I think you'll have to pay for it. smile.gif

3. Your camera's faulty. Bring it to a service centre to have it fixed. smile.gif

How long will they take to fix my camera?

Depends on what is damaged.

Best it leave it there for at least 3 working days for them to check it out. smile.gif

guys...u think get Ap better or the original better?

how is the prossing speed after the new firmware upgrade?
*
If you're one who always change phones, I'd suggest you take AP. But if you're looking into buying a phone to be used for a long time, then get the Original. The warranty, does make a lot of difference, especially when something goes wrong.

I rather pay a little more for a better after sales service. nod.gif

ooOOo..P990i's WIFI class is B? I didn't know that till now. Hehe...
I was planning to get the P990i but after thinking it for a while, I rather stick back with my M600i. I've put a leather case on my M600i ever since I got it first time but yesterday I've taken it out and wow, didn't notice it was that slim and sleek looking. The more I look at it, the more I love it!
The downside for me is no camera though, but guess you can have a perfect phone. tongue.gif

I read there's a new firmware, does the new firmware allow us to write in chinese already? Anyone care to share websites where I can find free MP4 for M600i? THanks a lot!

CHeers!!
*
Mind sharing which leather case you're using?

Thanks. smile.gif

It is a nice software. It disables the transition effect when launching programs or opening up the menu. However, there's a small bug to it. It requires the user to re-enable the program once the phone is restarted.  sad.gif
*
Not that major a bug if that's the only problem with it. smile.gif

P910i application can use in P900?
*
P900 / P910i's applications can be used on each other.

P990i's, on the other hand is a totally new platform, and older softwares cannot be used on it.

M600i, should look good with the theme as well.

But P990i, I'm not sure. Has since sold my P990i so I can't test it out.

QUOTE(Saigo @ Feb 9 2007, 09:23 PM)
Question, why on earth can I not download MMS my friend sent me? I'm using DiGi, and MMS is definitely already enabled on their side since I was using an old phone to MMS before I got P990i.

I have requested the settings from DiGi who SMSed it to me, which I then saved. I have checked under Connections where I have DiGi MMS there, password and all. Strange thing is when I try to 'get' the MMS my friend sent me, it kept asking which Internet group I want to use to connect to the Internet? (wtf)

Help please. :/

Edit: I have checked my Internet group, and DiGi MMS is not in it. And my manual says it's not supposed to be in it etiher.

Double-edit: Never mind, finally found a useful link here, which helped a lot.
*
Hmm... I sent the setting from DiGi's site to my W950i and no extra settings required.

I managed to utilize GPRS and MMS immediately. smile.gif

*I might be selling my W950i Midlands set. Anyone interested? tongue.gif

If you don't need a 2MP camera, or WiFi, might as well consider the W950i or M600i.

The W950i has 4GB of HDD which the other 2 lacks. smile.gif

just a suggestion to TS...mind to add locations and addresses of SE centre in the first page... cool2.gif
it would be easier for all the users...how's that... hmm.gif
we could gather the information from all the SE users... nod.gif
anyway...it's back to TS...it could help our thread to be more cheerful and colorful... biggrin.gif
*
You guys don't read the pinned threads do you?

There's a thread on all service centre's address, phone number and operating hours here.
