Da Men (also spelled as da:men) is a mixed commercial and residential development located in USJ 1. The 8.6 acre development is constructed over Giant's former warehouse which is beside the intersection of Persiaran Kewajipan and Persiaran Subang Permai. It will be adjacent to high-rise buldings such as Menara HeiTech Village, USJ Sentral, Casa Subang, Impian Meridian, Empire Remix and The Summit.

Da Men consists of serviced apartments, retail lots and a retail mall. There are a total of 480 units of serviced apartments constructed over two 23-storey blocks with built-up areas ranging from 723 to 1,100 sf. The 68 units of retail shops and offices are said to occupy 2-storey, 5-storey and 6-storey blocks facing two major roads (Persiaran Kewajipan and Persiaran Subang Permai). The retail mall is spread over seven floors with a total built-up area of 400,000 sf.

They should take in GSC. GSC guarantees success I personally prefer GSC, seats are better than TGV and MBO.

Why ? TGV no freebies to members. GSC and MBO give you 2 free tickets on your birthday mth. And MBO even let you earn points (when U purchase tickets) to get more freebies like popcorn and drinks. 1300 points gets you 64 oz popcorn and two 22oz drink. Regular zise popcorn is 32 oz and regilar drink is 16oz.
1300 point U can earn by purchase total RM130, but Wednesdays earn you double points, so U need to purchase just RM65.

I think u need to read more abt tgvs freebies for the movie club members..10% rebate on all purchases & 2 free tickets n 1popcorn during bday..

But movie club memberships are not free, right ? So in a way U're paying for the supposedly free 2 tickets and a popcorn. On the other hand, GSC and MBO memberships are completely free.

rm30 is cheaper than buying 2 tickets and 1 popcorn mah..win win solution..

There is already a GSC next door, in Summit, so it makes no sense to also have a cinema in Damen.

Side question, does TGV now allow customers to choose seats upon buying ticket at counter (not online nor those touchscreen purchase)?

I recalled back then, the cashier at a counter had pre-chosen on/or pre-determined seats for customers. Everytime, they offered seats for me. It happened at various TGV at famous malls.
(I know there are touchscreen purchase now)

Since you are familiar with this area, will Empire Remix has cinema(once it complete)?

GSC and MBO ticket counters will show U the cinema seats so U can choose any of the available seats U like. TGV cannot be that backward not to also do this.

Sadly, damen outer building color looks so blend with white color and beige color, even an eye soar looking at the condo above the mall, full white. I think they need to do smth about it sooner or later

Summit reno is taking shape slowly n progressing, the color combinations looks refreshing n modern

Da men wake up leh, usj folks really need smth else then just white

any worse? just surrender la. turn off the damn lights and lock up and throw the keys away.

Give the new management some time leh.. Maybe another 6 months.. Then we see if DM can close shop or not

the rm30 that one pay for tgv membership entitles the member to 2 free tickets and popcorn combo (the membership fee covers this free ticket lah). on top of that, members will have 2 free tickets and popcorn combo on their birthday month. besides that there's points that one can accumulate from ticket purchase and redeem back for tickets. plus u can get tickets for less than rm10 for movies before 12 noon.
Frankly speaking, i used to be GSC supporter but somehow now i prefer tgv. i find that the new tgv cinemas are better than gsc in terms of seat, sound and picture. like in 1U, tgv definitely a better experience.

Kinda agree with this. Me wife handles all these tgv promo thingys. Our last I'll say about 6 movies at tgv, I haven't paid a cent. I'm a happy camper. TGV Jaya.

Morganfield delay show a MAJOR problem with this mall as the chain owner went BIG WITH DAMEN by opening 5-6 restaurants.. Some of them are opened already but something is clearly holding back the others from opening..

Mall operator have d right to forfeit deposits if tenant refuse to open for biz

with that kind of "crowd", it's better to pull out immediately else don't complain poor biz later

Hey I just came back from Damen after runch. It was my first time there.
Had runch at Friends of Burger (FOB).
Overall I feel it's a nice mall but getting less than average crowd.
Many shops are suppose to open but seem like holding back. If they come in, this will be a very nice mall for USJ residents as it's new, clean and spacious.

Is morganfield related to dm developer?

Below 50% ??so little? Last time go, many shop aldy open..

the jam here is cause by cacat road. not ong road.
so this mall at cacat sesak road... not ong sesak road.
recently pass by this area... traffic damn cacat jam.

Took some pictures. Not many ppl but number of shops opened is quite good already currently.
If the rest is opened as advertised should will be very nice.

i dont have very good eyesight but...what crowd

dont be so bad leh.. at least still have 5 people which is better than plaza rakyat but seems like all of them just walking around with ZERO shopping bags
