hahahaha actually we Malaysian like malls...no doubt, all malls have a chance to make it when you OPEN !!! not open then see how !! hahaha
shah alam also has its failure like U5 or something...fuu that one worst.
the part I don't get it with Da men is... they can see summit , main place , one city , empire , subang parade , sunway pyramid and you can actually do the math already what's the ingredient required to make it happen! Yet time and time again they open to struggle !! hahahaha
Aeon at shah alam on the other hand..went for concrete bet! ( my opinion ) they cut and paste the whole mall from Klang bukit tinggi aeon....I mean literally everything even the signage and they add a few upper class tenant... uniqlo,h&M and the living index furniture nailed it !! this is what I call " got do homework" compare to da men...
Amid all the responses here, I think yours makes the most sense and substance. I think this is the main problem, DM has no 'pulling' factor for anyone to go there.....when you have a gang of malls surrounding it, why would anyone leave their 'faithful' mall which they are familiar with to go to a place which is still quite jammed and the tenants are a bunch of nobodies? All these new taiwanese shops carry no value IMO, if I'm not familiar with them why would I waste time leaving other malls like Parade, Empire, Pyramid to go to DaMen? No cinema as well. shah alam also has its failure like U5 or something...fuu that one worst.

So far it looks weak, their little 'tricks' like free parking for RM30 purchase and nonsense....it's just not good enough. Unlike many here who seem to post just to 'celebrate' this mall struggling, I genuinely wish DM can succeed since I'm vested in a condo nearby. If DM succeeds, it's only good for the condos around it. But so far it's been very poor and I'm sorry to see the state of DM. They really need to do some big events to get people to become familiar with this place, and for goodness sake, bring in/force a few big reputable brands (which other malls nearby DON'T HAVE) to open up in DM.
