Is that supposed to be the competitor for the new perodua bezza?
*
no. That is for Saga (but doesnt look like its launching anytime soon)

Persona R is B-seg sedan.

Once again dunno wtf Proton marketing team doing.

Same story like Axia launch last time, then only launch the Iriz when the market all went ahead to buy Axia already.

Now gonna be same thing, Bezza launched 1st and capture the market, then only launch new Saga.

Then later complain low sales bla bla bla..

It's a Persona? The front kinda looks like Iriz though. As for the marketing team, it's either they slack off because the government got their backs or Proton has no budget to hire a more professional marketing team. I also noticed that a lot of people trash more on Proton than Perodua. I remember some people got angry due to the fact that only the Iriz Premium will have 6 airbags while the other variants don't but I haven't heard a single complaint about the Bezza non-VSC variant.
*
QUOTE(voscar @ Jul 17 2016, 12:52 AM)
wah that is persona's replacement? was it shorter than current persona? if shorter than they should really brand it as saga replacement to direct compete with bezza.
i can't imagine how much shorter for saga replacement...
*
no idea but yeah, this Iriz Sedan is supposed to be Persona's replacement.

So new Saga to replace flx Saga yet to be seen.

Rattle sound.. cvt sound. I really want a good nvh car.
But x mampu. But then got rumors said iriz sedan got really good nvh. But i baca this car club rattle sound like everwhere.
*
cvt not really lah. you can go test drive first and see for yourself. Then see if its a really big bother to you.
As for me, i cant hear cvt sound at all. Its always the stock tyre (road noise) and engine sound I hear the most.

As for rattling, well yeah. I'd say 50/50 suffers it. As for me, I sent it to SC and they managed to make the rattling disappear (but not completely, but now very minor rattling only). Or you could diy also, but I lazy only..

Anyway, go test drive first bro. Its free. Test and see if the current NVH is good enough for you or not up to your standards. Test until you satisfied. Test the CVT also, cause its Punch CVT, unless you driven Punch CVT before, then you will need to get used to how it works. If not later you will complaint about it also.

and if after test drive you still not satisfied with it, then just wait for Bezza. or Persona R..

Just got my car back from service. Total damage is RM202.40. Oil Filter RM14.76 + Drain plug RM3.20 + Syntium 800 RM125.08 and balancing and alignment RM59.36 which was subcontracted. The dash service interval was not reset.
*
i did alignment balancing at SC for 60 bucks too. and yes, 3rd party contracted people. The fella even persuading me to add camber screws doh.gif doh.gif
and IMO it wasnt even a good alignment balancing job.

Fooking expensive.

Hi,  planning to get iriz soon. Heard a lot of complaints. But most of the issues that im worried about are the dashboard sound & gas smell after refuel. Is it common among iriz owners or is it only minority? Please advise
*
dashboard rattling yes.

fuel smell minority.

well at least most of the complaints here are only about "rattlings" not some fuxxed up gearbox or engine or 42k wire harness, etc etc. smile.gif

and btw, both the concerns you mentioned are fixable at SC.

So the rattling noise can be fixed or u guys just ignore it?
*
my dashboard rattling comes and goes. On smooth roads, no sound at all. But potholes all will come out the sound.

i sent to SC before, they managed to fix my a-pillars rattling and dashboard rattling as well, but after so long the dashboard rattling came back. Guess cause they didnt put extra padding or anything, just re adjust the screws or whatever..

Then, A-pillar they fixed again this time using foam materials and it no longer rattles. So my next service gonna ask the SC to do it thoroughly and fix all my rattlings once and for all.. and wanna ask them to use more foam materials.

Thanks bro for the info. I guess you have to leave your car at sc a day or two right?
*
no la haha.

I only did 2 services so far, First service which was the 1k km service and 2nd service for 10k km service. My next service for 20k km is due in November..

So i only visited SC twice, i complain during service time and they fixed it on the spot. maybe thats why the rattling came back cause not enough time to really do it properly.

I also heard if want them to do it properly have to leave car behind but idk yet. So far the rattling is still at bearable levels..

I just fully understand how CVT Engine works, and I honestly think that's an awesome piece of technology.

Why the hate of CVT(in proton) ?
*
is because of the jerking in low speeds only..

and also its clutch-type. CVT, rpm rises first then only the speed climbs. Autobox rpm rises together with speed.
So those ppl tekan pedal, they see rpm rise but speed didnt rise so they think its a shitbox.

Eh LordDen yesterday in other tered the fc u provided for iriz is auto or manual? 1.3 or 1.6?

Now 1.6 still got stock/discount? The premium 1.6 memang nice but if compare 1.3 with bezza the 1.3 spec quite similar, but the plastic really better.

Looking for auto only.
*
for the cvt 1.3 geh..

im not sure but I suggest you look for Vincent here in LYN. He gave me a very good discount when I bought mine..

but bezza 1.3 is 51k

can get 1.6 Iriz already at that price..

but again, its Punch CVT la, so you go test drive first see you ok with it or not.. Most ppl dont like punch CVT in proton..

the 10k interval is service interval for every part in our car...but for eo it is diff...it depends on the mileage limit of that eo ...if 5..then every 5k u need to go..
*
Call up Proton WeCare yourself if you not sure. We have repeated many times, even got email confirmation from Proton that whatever oil you use its still 10k km.

Heck, even black and white written in our service manual it is TEN THOUSAND KILOMETERS.

and if you even bother checking your Service Invoice/Receipt, it will tell you the next due date for your service and it always states 6 months and the next 10k km from your current KM.

It is in their own system database already, and cannot be changed,

So doesnt matter what the service advisor, your mother, your father, your neighbour, your mechanic bestfriend or even your service reminder info on the meter panel tells you.

But of course with that said, if you wanna service it every 5k km nobody's stopping you.

i had a bad exp dealing things similar to this. my phone actually. said can go underwater. I try it at an open water and phone go kaput. when i went to claim warranty, they said i go too deep beyond its recommendation. i claim that i did not go beyond its recommendation and they search for excuses to point back at me and yes they did found one ( which is didnt even do it). they said i drop my phone once (i treat the phone with care fyi. never drop it even once!) and there is a gap hence the water came tru there. in the end i have to spend like 500 to fix everything.

that is why i ask here whether if there is any problem with the warranty if i use semi but change at 10k km
*
no worries. It really is 10k km for whatever oil you use. It's warranted for 10k km.

Also, if you are worried just call up proton wecare or email them.

even if it said in manual use cooking oil ...go ahead....no one we blame u.... aiya bro...don be mad la...our fren asking bout warranty issue ,not the service interval....read past post carefully...

our fren asking if the eo supposed for 5k interval...can it change in 10k interval ....by doing that can it void warranty?....
the way im explaining is how to prevent the warranty void through service interval time....
*
because you are spreading nonsense.

We are trying to help people on their inquiries, not further confuse them.

Since you're the one with the bullets claiming this and that, then show me

Which part of it says warranty will be affected if you use MINERAL EO and service it at 10k.

Go on, show it to me and everyone else here.

and on the bolded part, are you trying to say not everything in our service manual (which is made by the engineers who made our cars) is true? So you are better than the engineers then?

Okay now I get it. rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif
