well new car does come with 5 year warranty + 3 year free service...

So thats considered lowering down the price already..

see if got written anything about tcu/ecu update..

if no, then just placebo effect or new engine oil makes the car run smoother..

these 2 that you mentioned is just because you are driving the car for the first time and you are not used to it..

once you've driven around more with it you will notice that those 2 are not really an issue..

where got so fast change cvt fluid la. its like 40k or 60k if i remember correctly..

thats why 3rd party SC sucks lah, always wanna chop.

then ppl who go to 3rd party service will think how come proton's maintenance so blardy expensive.

proton really need to supervise their 3rd party service centers

maybe call up the service center u went to to enquire whats the procare thingy that they did

btw which service center u went to?

and also whats your car model? 1.3 or 1.6 cvt?

is your current ride normal AT?
if yes then yeah you will feel CVT especially Punch CVT used in Proton is like sluggish..

2 factors.

1) CVT in general feels sluggish over normal AT, because in CVT, rpm rises then only the km/h rises. (you put your foot down, you see the rpm rises but the car didnt move as fast as you thought it would, but then later massive power comes in. this is the rubber band effect feel)
-while conventional AT rpm and speed rises together. you may think CVT is rubbish if you're first timer but its actually quite brilliant tbh.

2) Punch CVT is clutch-based compared to other CVTs which are torque-converter based.
so like manual cars, the clutch need to fully open then only the proper acceleration/power is available.

isnt this the black foam at the bottom of your front door sides to protect it from hitting the wall/other cars if you open your doors too wide?

IM JUST PRAYING SO HARD THIS HAPPENS FOR REAL.

lol so happen i was itchy hand playing with that part of the steering while stuck in jam today and yea i notice got gap also down there..

the overly-aggressive engine braking I guess...

makes you feel like the engine is about to explode every single time it does engine braking..

guess current Iriz the only thing available is the TCU/ECU updates carried over from new Persona. (good enough for me)

as for new production Iriz, maybe they will get better dashboard/plastic fittings, better qc parts basically..
