Do you guys have notifications problems on our current B170 firmware - this is what was posed on XDA forums for Mate 8

C10B172 as far everything works great (and notifications except Viber).I feel that this firware is more....i dont know how to say it...i didnt fing lag to any of the 3 firwares but this one lets say that is more lagless...this was the only rom that google now was installed but this maybe has to do with the installation that i follow.

1.Factory restore
2.Install C10B172
3.Factory restore
4.RE-install C10B172
5.Factory restore

u are welcome..this is as a dealer solve customer problem even our client told this to use..we do teach them this as well..

dint face any problem for notify issue , SOT 6~7hour deppends how i use.. standby 20hours per day.. if i gamming nonestop around 1 ~2 hour SOT will around 5~6hour.. still manage to standby at least more den 18hours

today my off day..so less on HP using.. SOT 3hours , Standby24hours 48% battery left

Absolutely no more notification issues since b170 m now on b180 firmware
I don't understand why some users still report such problems. User need to dig deep into settings /notification to customize what sort of notification they need and set the app as protected too
I use only stock messaging, whatsapp, maildroid, tweet caster pro where I needed notification. Other app I disabled any notification

Struggling to decide which phone to get. Mate 8 or P9+ or HTC 10. But i think HTC 10 is out of my thought already. Price is RM 3299 in malaysia... Way out of my budget...

Is Mate 8 a good phone? i heard some complaints about the phone camera and also the speaker of te phone is no good. Is this true?

Camera is good enough for me...it is however not in the class of S7e or LG V10. Most of camera reviews on Web was based on early development builds n inaccurately report those camera issues. If you are a camera geek than S7e n V10 is a better choice. It's camera equally good as Note5, Nexus 6p

I have tried the phone. It's good enough for me but the camera i can tell. The shop owner tell me to wait for P9. so i also don't know lo.

U cant give a proper rating unil u use the phone for at least a week or so.

Thats what i did. I bought the m8, used it for a week before deciding to offload my n5.

Once u are used to it, then it becomes fine

Thanks for the advise. I think i will wait for P9+ and see how was the price la.

Both are different altogether, for one Mate 8 comes in 6"and gigantic battery.

Can you all give me the Pro and Con's of Mate 8?

Very struggling to change from HTC to Huawei...

i hear rumors that P9 price around rm1.8k, P9 lite RM1.3k,and P9+ over RM2k mybe RM2.4k?

Yup this is the figure i get from Huawei outlet as well. Don't know how true it is.

Your wording too advance... Don't understand.

LOL. What I meant was, just buy and use it. Huawei is an excellent phone. You should have little worries trying to get used to it.

Pro

- Simple UI
- Superb Great Battery Life
- Big and beautiful Full HD Screen
- Premium Build

Con

- I think Sense UI is best UI of all smartphones, you might need time to get used to EMUI, for me..Sense UI ofcourse is better.
- Update might be slow compare to HTC
- Less custom roms in XDA, if you are not a flasher then i think it will not affect

Totally agree with you. My main concern is still Sense UI vs EMUI.

No serious cons

Minor cons :

- you might need to get used to HW UI . If you don't like just use any 3rd party launcher but than you lose the flexibility to change to any of its large variety of themes
- camera is not that super excellent but is good enough for most common folks. Just don't compare it to S7e or LG v10 which has to date the best camera in its class
- display is only 1080p but seriously I cannot see any significant differences with those 2K display phones unless one has microscopic vision !!
- well it is 6 inches display and not everyone can accept such a big display size ??

Stop looking if you are trying to find the perfect 10/10 phone - it doesn't exist. Even on the renown iphone 6s+ ( which I have) I can write a full essay why it is still imperfect
