Digi new tactics for Best prepaid... (try to focus only on BEST prepaid in this thread)
I noticed that digi Best prepaid are now separated in many kind of versions, each version come with some minor differences.

I suspect, this is their tactics to separate their users into groups, so that everyone may have varied experiences, such as:
some get SLL@38, some get SLL@68, some dont get SLL.
some has Free internet, some dont get...

Could we all together to find out their differences?

Besides, I also noticed digi new strategy of giving out "reward" in a less genuine manner,
Yes, they still give out 'reward/promotion',
but every 'reward/promotion' has an expire/validity date,
you have to redeem it on time, finish it on time or you just cannot enjoy the so call 'reward/promotion'...

If you have no idea with how fast 64kbps (Free basic internet) could work, here is an experience shared by raynman:
Works perfectly OK for Whatsapp (can download photos but avoid videos), Waze, online banking like Maybank2U and CIMBClicks, MyDigi app, TNB and Syabas apps.
Not so good but still workable..... Google Maps, UBER, Grabcar, Opera Mini.
Totally unusable..... graphic-intensive apps like Lazada, GEMFive, online news portals with lots of photos. (not to mention, video).

P/S: Birthday Bonus and SLL are two famous and popular features offer by Digi for years, but they slowly taking them down,
I think Digi are seeking a new way to maneuver their market, yes, we are in the era of internet!

For internetplus, please noted,
Local calls are split 50% for call to Digi numbers and 50% for calls to other networks and fixed lines, except video calls, special numbers, toll-free 1-300 number and 121 numbers.
Which mean, if there are 300 minutes to call, 150 mins will be given for Local calls and another 150 mins for calls to other networks

Im using smart prepaid. Sad. I missing my old digi plan.

i just port-in, the plan called digi new best prepaid v2, no free 1.5gb internet
no super long life
free 500mb basic internet
20 best kawan
10 sen/30 second to all network,

the 1.5gb only come after you make a RM30 reload,
super long life only can be subscribe when you have credit above RM68,
try again and see?

New Best V2 confirmed have SLL and Free 1.5gb after reload RM30 with 1 topup code.

now only smart prepaids get free data with reload.

Oo mine New Best V1 MNP and i got the 1.5gb free data when i reload

I reload this morning and no msg about the free quota and i keep on use the ussd code to request but fail.

receive complaint from client loool

for prepaid.. instead of 6cents per sms to other networks now they're charging 0.12 per sms

and they amend the call charges too

but i found no announcement in DiGi.. and they still state 6 cents per sms in their website.

for those who want to filea report , can do it at skmm / consumer tribunal court

NEW FINDING, I just made a call with my new best v1, 22sen for 46sec

Confirmed. I've tested it just now, off-net call 11sen/30sec and sms 12sen/sms.

No wonder, today i called someone for 10s , and being charged weird 11sen. Why Digi does not inform customers one?

The least they can do is to send SMS to all the affected Digi customers, as a courtesy.. MNP time

I just helped 2 friends with SLL365 earlier this month, with their Digi Best v4.

What options did you see when you tried?

the longest is the one month plan only... zzz if so I really wanted to consider to change telco.. rm60 for 1year is just not ordinary..
I have been subscribe the SLL and user of digi since 2008...

Just a double-check.

You don't have an existing SLL running, do you? If not, I think SLL for v4 is really gone because I just checked my friend's phone which just renewed SLL last week, and also see 30 days being the longest available.

May i know which digi prepaid plan have buddyz?

DiGi Smart Prepaid. 3 Buddyz numbers only (all must be DiGi lines). FUP applies to both unlimited calls and SMS feature (3,000 minutes + 3,000 SMS per month).

They'd just snatch it away like that? So unethical. DiGi just keep leaving poos everywhere nowadays.. Better change tagline to Always The Dumbest Choice.

Call *200*1# and you can see what data packets you're entitled to and can check the balance too.

I reloaded new best v2 rm100 got internet rm15 free . But how to redeem?

Call *116# see what's available. There's also another USSD code but I've forgotten what. Avoid when it says daily, weekly as it's a subscription that will renew itself and take your credit daily or weekly. I for one am not accustomed to having my credit deducted automatically like that. I only buy when I want to use it. No need to be so nice to me and RENEW for me while sucking my remaining credits.

Looks like only these Weekly plans are offered, and if these are the regular ones I'd be looking into the high possibility of auto-renewal.

Maybe it's to do with the terms used by them, to you it might mean one thing and to them another.

I normally just write to them explaining in detail what I'm asking about, if I can't find the answer from their website, and get a written reply from them as reference. You might want to try the DiGi Community link on their website next time.

My v2 expired on 16/7 so grace period is 75 days until 31/8
If on 31/8 i buy 1 day validity, then will expire again on 1/9, will new grace period will be another 75 days become 17/10 ?

now reload using digi apps, RM15 wow reload got 10days free 1gb internet.

Yup.. once you activate your validity (Even 1 Day) the grace period reset and recount again. I can confirm this

I'm a little confuse on the term validity. I have Best Prepaid v2 for my kid and the my intention is to have the number so that she can send and receive whatsapp message. I don't need call or sms.

Just bought the card on 13/7/16 and currently no more credit but free internet still works
Active will end on ??? (not sure - 15 or 30 days)
Validity as shown on the card is 75 days upon the end of Active Period

My questions are:
1. Will the free internet still works during the 75 days validity period? If yes, from the posts here, I can just top up RM 1 at the end of 75 days in order to get another 75 days validity, will the free internet works for another 75 days?

2. If Q1 is not workable, I am thinking to subscribe the 365 Super Long Life at RM 68
- The 365 days are Active Period or validity Period?
- Will free internet works for 365 days without any top up at all in one whole year?
- Can receive incoming calls?
** From the T&C posted in this thread, Free Internet is only for Active Period, correct me if I'm wrong.

1. No, you won't get the free basic internet once you're in grace period.

2. Yes, the SLL should be the way to go for you to enjoy the free basic internet capped at 500MB per month all year long.
