I just helped 2 friends with SLL365 earlier this month, with their Digi Best v4.

What options did you see when you tried?

Just a double-check.

You don't have an existing SLL running, do you? If not, I think SLL for v4 is really gone because I just checked my friend's phone which just renewed SLL last week, and also see 30 days being the longest available.

Looks like it's still there!

Looks like only these Weekly plans are offered, and if these are the regular ones I'd be looking into the high possibility of auto-renewal.

Yes, all existing Digi Prepaid subscribers may change to Digi New Best Prepaid V2, EXCEPT for Digi Smart Prepaid. To change your plan, just dial *128*1*4#.

2. FREE Basic Internet and Free Social (hereinafter to be referred as "Free Internet") Terms and Conditions and Fair Usage Policy

The first few points read:

All FREE Internet promotions including but not limited to the 'Smart FREE Basic Internet' and 'FREE Social/FREE Sozial' are subjected to Digi's FREE Internet Fair Usage Policy fully determined by Digi.

The Subscriber will enjoy the use of FREE Internet subject to the limited speed of up to 64kbps in line with this present promotional offering (subject to change at Digi's discretion).

This FREE Internet is herein restricted from consumption of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and/or Internet Tethering and/or any Peer-to-Peer or file sharing applications and/or other similar heavy streaming services.

The Subscriber must remain Digi account in Active status in order to use FREE Internet.

That's if they're within the same category, I guess.

DiGi Smart and DiGi Best are of different categories.

Maybe it's to do with the terms used by them, to you it might mean one thing and to them another.

I normally just write to them explaining in detail what I'm asking about, if I can't find the answer from their website, and get a written reply from them as reference. You might want to try the DiGi Community link on their website next time.

Super Long Life (which is the option to extend the validity period) costs RM68/year only for DiGi New Best Prepaid v2 (the latest) plan, while it costs only RM38/year for the earlier versions of DiGi New Best Prepaid v1 and DiGi Best Prepaid v4.

It costs more for the latest plan because New Best v2 comes with Free Basic Internet which can only be used during the Active period. This Free Basic Internet doesn't depend solely on SLL > it can also be used even if your line is made active via a top-up.

Example:

1) You subscribe to SLL and pay RM68, your line will be active for the whole year during which you can use the Free Basic Internet throughout (so long as within the 500MB/month limit).

2) You don't want to subscribe to SLL, but instead want to use the Free Basic Internet only occasionally. You can top-up during the grace period (75 days) to activate the card in order to use the Free Basic Internet.

Thus, if your line is under the latest Digi New Best Prepaid v2, you can use the Free Basic Internet whenever your line is Active, regardless whether you've activated it via SLL or top-up.

Another new version of Digi New Best Prepaid again?!? So this is what, Digi New Best Prepaid v3?

Forgot or simply don't want to publish the rates openly? Digi website is one where I sometimes find difficult to get information, so it may be faster to ask them in the Digi Community and hoping they give you accurate information.

Or maybe they're still in the midst of updating the information?

How did you end up thinking that they could be the same plan if you see one as Digi New Best V2 and the other as Digi Best Prepaid 2016? Digi has 2 types of prepaid - Digi Best and Digi Smart/Live - and in Best itself there are different versions depending on when they're bought and if any upgrades to new versions are done each time one is offered in the stores.

Unless you always keep your eyes peeled to forums like this, and on Digi website on the day you head to the store, you won't know when a new version is released. One day after I read here that Digi Prepaid Best 2016 was released, I asked a dealer when my friend wanted to buy one, and was told it's still the older plan. So can't really trust them either.

Thanks for sharing info about Point 2. Piece of bad news here, then. Good news is I didn't get my friend to buy a new SIM pack recently.

Which older plan are you having?

Apart from this latest Digi Best plan, the one before - Digi New Best Prepaid v2 - is the other one with 500MB monthly free basic internet.

Digi New Best Prepaid v1 and Digi Best Prepaid v4, and maybe also Digi Best Prepaid v3 - don't have that.

The latest 2016 version is also RM68.
