everyone's of us having this problem except ppl who root their phone..

I'm in Pure EMUI 2.1 rom (thanks to fiezwan for guiding me) ..but the problem I face right now is a lot of apps dont have permission to storage, contacts, camera etc etc ...so when I try to grant the permission .. always getting this message to turn off overlay display ..but when I open the setting page .. the app that need to turn off the overlay display were not there ..

no whatsapp notification is emui's trademark, i have been experiencing it since honor 6.

So it's problem with Huawei then? I do get notifications from the whatapp screen icon but not on the status bar.

H7 been serving me well, for its price, H8 seems to be a little bit at higher pricing...hmmm

Maybe that's the purpose of the developer called the rom "Pure Rom"
Anyway, I do not have that message to turn off the overlay display. If you have not install any app yet, I would recommend you to reset factory setting + reboot into TWRP to wipe the dalvic cache and see if that make any different.
If not, try to re-do the whole process again -> wipe dalvic + data + internal. Then flash again the rom.

Have you tried using "Performance" mode in battery manager?

Well, me too, no see that msg at all, after i installed pure rom.
Btw, wipe dalvic + cache will solve some issues. Like me, i wiped and solve slow charging & fast consume issue.
So far, pure rom is the nicest rom which i had tried. Will keep it as daily driver

it's totally random, hard to say.

I hope you have not missing out these options too for the Whatsapp.

Thanks.I had only allowed for notification only for the status bar method.Still doesn't work.Phone not rooted ,always in performance mode,app kept alive after screens turn off and data is always on as I am getting FB notifications.

Which Android version when you were in honor 6?

want to ask if i have micro sd card installed right, it seems that i have to set sd card as default storage in order to access the sd card?

no need..just use preinstall "Files" to access your sd card

If i want to access it from my computer? it seems to only detect my default storage?

lollipop and marshmallow beta both also kena.

Update ur whatsapp? Mine like tiba2 ada bunyi.. hope it lasting..
