i manage to increase my CL for PBB, MBB, SCB easily and the only bank that reject me multiple times is HLB
i still keep trying every half a year
i ask them how long before i can resubmit, they say after 6 months
so every Jan and July i sure try and sure kena reject
keep trying till successful lo
*
My CL has been approved by HLB every time. Total of at least 4 or 5 increases over the past 3 years. RHB meanwhile, even doing it manually at the branch, twice been rejected. And my HLB limit is now exactly 10x my RHB limit. It's crazy how different people have different experiences with different banks.

I can confirm that HLB BT works to MBB AMEX credit card. Got my money last week already.

How did you apply? Added an "0" at the front?
*
QUOTE(contestchris @ Jan 22 2025, 03:42 PM)
No, it is short 1 digit. No issue.

Hi All,

Can anyone advise me on the BT from HL to Maybank 2 card ?

MBB Visa - 2600
MBB Amex - 8000

i am able to BT 2600 to MBB Visa successfully. How do i do the BT for MBB Amex? seems like its not accepting the credit card number. Do i BT to the same Visa CC another 8000?

ah okay. Thanks so much!

I was using the HL app earlier, but its not accepting AMEX card number.

I logged into their online website portal, I am able to input the 15 digit credit card number and make balance transfer successfully. no needing to add 0 at the front.

Another question i have for HL, we only have to pay 5% of outstanding each month right? But can I make more payment every month (more than the 5% minimum payment), as long as the amount is not fully settled by the last month, to avoid the early settlement fees of RM70.

Hi, I have a question.

Can i use another CC's to do new BT and pay off another CC's ongoing old BT?

lets say currently have BT with BANK1's CC under a separate acc number.
so I plan to use BANK2's CC to do 0% BT to pay off BANK1's ongoing BT and CC together.

I haven try before so I just want to know if it is possible to do it in this way avoid interest charges.

yes, you can keep doing it from multiple banks BT.

just remember to request bank for early BT settlement first (those with fixed monthly bt installment)

paying extra won't automatically clear off the outstanding BT.

Thanks for the reply and noted on the early settlement.
the old BT not fixed monthly payment and no early settlement charges.
it has 16 digits number same like CC.
So when do new BT , just use the separate acc number should work?

Yes though HLB BT starts with "8" which is not a conventional credit card no., some banks don't accept. If that happens, you just transfer to the normal HLB CC number and call CS to transfer it to your HLB BT account.

But do take note that dun do this "transfer" day before statement due or BT expiry date.
As it might take some time to process smile.gif
Best do it 1 week earlier.

my current BT is under UOB starts with "4", so it should work like normal CC?
I plan to apply a new CC with RHB then do new BT(during promo period) to settle UOB BT and cancel the CC since it is no longer useful to me anymore.

Yes. Not sure if UOB has early settlement penalty, otherwise leave some balance and clear it off on expiry date.

Thank for the info guys.
Will try to do with BT separate acc number.
Like Gabriel03 said no early settlement fee.
As per UOB CS, i need to pay minimum 5% of remaining BT balance on each statement cycle, pay more when you can, pay minimum when you cant as long as settle it before expiry.

Yes, that’s how UOB BT works usually though I had both types before, required to pay in monthly installments and also 5%.

Apply BT online is more convenient, but only can BT from 1 bank, cannot do multiple banks at a time.

Anyone has heard about rhb cash xcess program? I recently got my new rhb card and they offered this for me. 0% for 12 months. Very tempting. And no fees.
