I've used many ICUTE. All work fine. Frankly, i've never encountered any problem with branded PSU. Just some previous no brand, no name PSU coz my old PC to hang frequently.

Never faced any problem with chaplang PSU.Kong after a few years of used. But i-cute 420w dual fan almost fried my mobo.+12v to high. Then change to Antec. But now when i test+put into a mobo+a few fans.Seems the +12v rails is OK..i-cute blink.gif

QUOTE(shinjite @ Jan 4 2007, 06:52 PM)
Its okay, not like my Antec Truepower 430W, 1 year only suddenly the whole PSU burst
Luckily still got warranty, got back Truepower II 430W instead with dual rails smile.gif
i'm still using TP 430w since Amd Palamino till now (AM2) and i always oc my cpu+fsb+ram

QUOTE(c_calvin @ Jan 4 2007, 10:27 PM)
Never had PSU that fail me before even those chaplang 1
but..........
last week just change a new 1
coz my house blackout like 10++ times in 2 days
till the PSU spoil~
maybe it blown coz the overload from TNB.U don't use an AVR right??

QUOTE(kalakatu @ Jan 6 2007, 01:37 PM)

hrmm.... just to share. 2 Enermax 600w Noisetaker failed on me when i'm still on DFI Ultra-D, 3200, 66gt, 2500ks. the 2nd one from rma is version 2 with 2 pcie connector but still fail. then swap to Coolergiant, rock stable and smooth sailing. according to ianho, it's the batch where one of the 12v rail got problem, thus only single 12v rail functioning. this actually found in the version 1 Noisetaker, according to TG Hardware if i'm not mistaken. cannot remember liao.

btw, i bought 3 HEC 450w or 430w (forgot which version) for my friends setup. no oc. so far so good. 3 already more than 1 year of usage.

now using 400w enermax liberty,i think this PSU is rock solid and have superb design( it looks even better than my casing =.=!)

but seeing this post have alot of fail enermax..now i feel scared also..lol

or it's because alot of ppl use enermax too ?? but i really love this PSU tongue.gif

Failure of PSU also actually reflect how lousy our TNB is supplying the utility power to us. The one which sucks most is TNB, increase price and still power failure so often.

I have a feeling that people just voted icute because of the brand not because it failed them / also a majority issue. Used chapalang brand to OC to 2.4GHz for a few months but upgraded to FSP because of unstable rails.

But, izzit we rate for the bad one and the other way round b'coz we used b4 and we know which one is better and bad...

simply as we rate bcoz we know which one is better..
