Maybe because it's a useless "u-turn" with very few cars using it

latest call on LRT ampang line, hopefully better LRT service effective 17 july 2016

There will be no LRT services for the Ampang Line on July 7 and 8, effectively the second and third day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Meanwhile, commuters will be able to travel seamlessly between Putra Heights and Sentul Timur LRT stations onboard the new six-car LRT trains effective July 17 onwards.

Upon completion, the Rapid Rail would introduce two new operation modes, the LRT Sri Petaling Line between Putra Heights and Sentul Timur, and the LRT Ampang Line for services between Chan Sow Lin and Ampang. With the new operations modes, customer travelling from Ampang to either Sentul Timur or Putra Heights need to disembark and switch trains at Chan Sow Lin station to enter Sri Petaling Line from July 17 onwards.

Meaning after 8/7, we no more need to switch train @ sri petaling? This will be good news.

But why they delay the opening of both lines to 17/7 hmnnn

The system shutdown for upgrading probably explained the frequent technical errors faced by ampang lrt recently

yea bicycle smile.gif

Searching around seems like a lot of restriction and LRT don't really welcome people with bike...

My Car >> LRT >> Bike to avoid morning traffic plan won't work in Malaysia...
and our bus service is doh.gif I miss central europe public transport even though they are quite expensive but efficient and reliable

Because it's serving Setiawalk only, construction paid for by SP Setia. I would use it udirng peak hours between 6pm-8pm. But other times, using the U-turn below will be marginally faster to reach home, although I had a bad experience there (accident).

The current ruling, however, only allows owners of folding bikes to use the LRT outside the peak hours; from 9am to 4pm on working days; and after 7.30pm onwards.

If i read it right, they upgrade the ampang line signalling.
No longer to choose which train is to ampang or sri petaling if from KL.
If want to go ampang that line, just hop in, then disembark at chan sow lin and go to opposite platform take the train.
The Ampang line train will only serve from Ampang to chan sow lin then move back to Ampang.

Talking about food again. I've posted about this place before. They've tarted up the interior very nicely now and got a more extensive menu.
