avoid main road if possible.

From Puchong Utama, can cut to Subang or not without using LDP? I know only one way through Puchong Barat toll, and through USJ12.

The jam from puchong utama to puchong jaya on Saturday morning starting 10am is already norm for the past 2-3yrs due to ppl from Kajang/putrajaya & tthose surrounding bt14/ putra perdana, meranti experiencing a pop boom for the past few years.

Weekday will be better than saturday haha

Can via puchong perdana/indah towards kg bersatu but that narrow kg road after puchong indah is jam during peak hr.

Another less jam way go towards tekali puchong, there is small road beside that tmn. Go thru kg sr aman> andalas & out at pasar tani bt13. Make a u-turn at the toll plaza to usj.

Check bypass toll maps on pg 1. Infact all puchong roads can bypass tolls but is it worth the effort intern of $$ & time

I'll start off.

Nasi Lemak

1 Restoran Hosay. Nasi Lemak with different options; chicken, squid etc.

Batu 14, opposite Hero.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/2%C2%B059...3;4d101.6208132

2 Stall outside Petronas, Bandar Puteri .
https://www.google.com/maps/place/PETRONAS+...3;4d101.6219104

Tai Chow

Kopitiam Oon Oon at Taman Wawasan across the road from DG FC.
Evenings only. Consistently good quality.

https://www.google.com/maps/@3.028664,101.6250332,21z

Banana Leaf, Dhosai, Roti

Five Star Curry House. Puteri 5
https://www.google.com/maps/@3.0143047,101.6151465,21z

Incidentally, I've stopped going to Kok Siong - the ambience is poor and the prices have been going up and up and up. I've also started avoiding Hasbuna for the same reason, though the price increase there hasn't been as dramatic. As a rule, I avoid mamak places altogether. I also rarely go to Ming Ren now. It's usually hopelessly overcrowded.

Anyone from puchong perdana area found that recently the roundabout > traffic light is less efficient and longer waiting time?

I have logged a complaint to JKR SEL. Please help to log and ask them to return the roundabout.

Better update & delete to the master list & thereafter can pin to 1st page.

Earlier we had a discussion bout Soon Sing restaurant i.e ex- Ramai chicken rice. The nice fried kuehtiaw stall like changed owner liso & not nice.

However the nasi lemak stall is good. Currently my fav - chinese nasi lemak stall so far. Sambal very close to Malay version.

Agreed about the fried kuetiau. Currently the only two fried kuetiau stall I like is the one at Restoran 100 near TESCO PBP and the one at DG FC. But lately also staying away from fried kuetiau - sometimes the oil they use is suspect then the taste really mad.gif

Which nasi lemak stall you are talking about stimix? The stall at Petronas is run by a kakak. The nasi lemak shop opposite Hero is Chinese.

Stimix I think it is easiest to redo the list from scratch since there are so many changes. Maybe you can moderate a discussion on this and we take it one item at a time based on what is already on the list.

For example, we can start with timsam and talk about Yuen Garden, Dragon Imperial and Jin Xuan (of which there are now at least two branches in Puchong), and then bring in all the newer ones like Foo Hing. We can say settle on the top three and put that on the list. And then we move on to Yong Tau Fu.

I can see this thread getting very very busy for weeks. drool.gif

Yes Malay. The choice of lauk is not so wide, but the sambal is nice and the rice is fragrant. If you want a lot of nice lauk, go to the one outside the nasty Restoran 88 at Batu 14.

The days of free parking lots within the vicinity of BK5 LRT station commercial area are numbered. Not sure the parking privatisation also include other stations though.

It's real bad during peak hours. I always tried to avoid the traffic lights by driving through the shop houses/residential area. If you are going to Puchong Prima, you can use the road leading to Parkson@M Square by cutting through the shop houses.

Progressing super slow! I think they are waiting a short approval to link millenium condo and Hilton inn new road to Maju Jaya. I sudpect this flyover is privately build by the developer of millenium condo & hilton inn.

Too bad this short 50M link road still a bush area right now eventhough the road already completed on the other side...

The flyover was originally under hillcrest master plan as what I can recall when I 1st bought my house during mid 90's
