scroll down a bit and you'll see all the 1 star reviews talking bout the bad connection, installation and customer service.
*
I read some of the positive and some of the negative. The overall rating is positive, though.

Personally, Time Fibre has been stable, speedy, and it has enabled me to move away from money-sucking services like Astro. No regrets - I've been on Time Fibre since late 2013 or 2014 (I forget).

Note - I don't use the stock router supplied by Time or Time's own DNS servers.

Around RM360 after apply voucher FABFEB50 (Lazada App). Better be quick if you want, voucher is limited.
*
How does the TP-Link compare to the Tenda AC1900 wireless router? Seems to be around same price range.

TP-Link and Tenda is only the budget range.

I suggest you to get TP-Link and ASUS.
Warranty no issue to claim.
*
Dunno how good or stable Tenda firmware is but on paper the Tenda has better processor and more memory.

Heard my reseller said this Tenda have a some issues like not connecting to ISP.

I chose TP-Link over Tenda cause I'm afraid warranty is difficult to claim.
Archer C9 User here.
So far this model is good.
Solve my problem for wireless signal and speed.

Improve everything.
*
Have a few friends using Tenda but heard no complaints from them so far.

Asus RT-AC68U user here. Powerful, stable, strong wifi but expensive (in my opinion).

Ha ha. When I bought the ac68u, I didn't know about Tenda. wink.gif

I had used TP-Link routers and powerline kits before. Also good and prices are more reasonable but tbh, I'm now an Asus fan.

yes i understand the function of extender / wifi repeater. Im using the old ZTE white colour router provided by TIME.
i wanna do bypassing router so that can increase my internet speed or not. So i can know that my router is the main down side for my internet speed
*
Oh you just want to know if it's router or line issue? Connect a PC straight to the GPON and login via PPPoE on your PC, to test the internet speed.

Bypass (direct ONU) full dl an ul speed.
Tested 3 different wifi routers..
1) Time ZTE
2) TP Link C5 bought yesterday
3) Netgear N150.

Issues happen since last month. Thought router issue but seems like not to me now.

Cluesless .... Call CS but they said they cant help....
*
1. Direct (wired) to ONU gives you full speed?
2. Poor speed on both 2.4GHz wifi-N and 5.0GHz wifi-N/AC networks?
3. Poor speed with 3 different wifi routers?
4. Poor speed on all your wifi clients (i.e. smartphone, laptop, tablet)?
5. Wifi speed tests performed just beside the router?
6. Results are from internet speedtest against a KL server?

Doesn't seem to indicate an ONU problem. Something wrong with the way you configure your wireless settings on router, maybe.

Or the LAN cable between ONU and wifi router.

no i survived on repeaters for a few years and they were decent. i could get 7 to 8 mbps frlm my 10mbps line.
*
I prefer wired access points and powerline adapters to repeaters because wireless repeaters technically halve the available wifi bandwidth. One half to talk to the parent router and the other half to repeat to the client.

With slow broadband the effect is probably not very noticeable but once you get up to hundreds of megabits the degradation will be significant.

I read that some newer mesh router equipment have a dedicated band and radio for inter-mesh node connections which sounds like a good thing.

Anyway i am still happy with my dual band ac68u. It blasts powerful 2.4 and 5ghz wifi all over my 1.2k sqf condo plus even to the lift lobby 15-20m outside my home.

My friend got one cable that hit 300 but that is from his company since they are doing networking there.

This is the speed with that cable:

I thought any cat5e cable will be ok. Maybe you can consider this one.
