I subscribed to 500mbps with the TP-link Archer C1200 for about 3months but the internet icon keep switching from orange to green in every 1-2mins until today. Speed test shows an average download speed of 120mbps and upload speed of 160mbps via 5g WiFi. Upload speed is always faster than download.
After installation when the technician conduct the speedtest with his laptop via wired connection shows around download speed of 430mbps. He said only wired connection is fast. As for the orange internet light on the router, he advised me that it’s the developer cabling problem and that there is nothing he can do.
The agent (Ms. Calista Tan) that I subscribed this TIME has been ignoring my inquiries and problems after completed installation and also didn’t supply me with the telephone handset that she promised to when I signed up with her.
I have lodge a complaint to my condo management on the internet cable and also email to TIME about this issue but there is no response from both sides.
Anyone face the same problem can kindly assists?
I also installed the Aztech Homeplug AV500 plus Wireless-N 300 (HL117EP + HL117EW) to my bedroom upstairs as it’s out of coverage but speed wise is horrible with around download speed of about 12-16mbps. Most of the time it got disconnected (with no connection) and keep saying password incorrect.
Hi,
5G band generally should be able to get higher than that, anyhow it also depends on your device.
The orange light on the Router has nothing related to the developer cabling problem...what a absurd excuse given. That is the bug of this router, even latest firmware cannot 100% resolve it.
I'm not sure how is the arrangement you and your sales agent, as currently the are some changes on the Voice Home Packages.
Voice Package :Basic --- No Free Phone, No Free Calls
Lite -- Add RM2.50/month, Free Cordless Dect Phone, Free 30mins/month
Max -- Add RM10/month, Free Cordless Dect Phone, Free 300mins/month
Note that Basic package, actually does Not comes with Dect phone.
For your Aztech powerline solution, try to test the bandwidth between 2 units, and relocate it nearer to each other, so that it is running on the same circuit and test the speed, DO NOT perform any Wireless testing, instead test with wired connection to narrow down possibilities.
Do drop me a whatsapp or email should yu require further assistance.
