yo guys, can share tanks preferably RDAs below RM150?
i prefer a tank which delivers the best flavor out from the juice. in my mind the minivolt kit, ok or not arrr?
currently on nebox, 26awg kanthal, 0.7ohm. fired it <25W for a bit warm vape + throat hit
I see from post #2146 that you meant RTA instead of RDA.
If you're just starting to build, I'll recommend the Uwell Crown v1 with optional RBA. Very good flavor from it, and it's not very hard to rebuild.
If you have some building experience and can be patient in dealing with some quirks of this atomizer, there is a better tank: The Ijoy Tornado RDTA. I've been using it daily since the 2nd of this month, and it's flavor and mouth-feel even on 2 normal Ni80 coils is as good as, if not better than the Crown.
I bought the Tornado because I was intrigued by the T6 deck, and discounted the blurb "RDA without dripping" as mere hype and exaggeration. I was wrong; it was not mere hype or marketing BS. For most of this month, all my other drippers and tanks are lying unused. Properly built, the tornado gives very very good flavor with the added bonus of thick and rich vapor on normal dual coils 38-42.5W 50VG to 80VG juices. I've even had to cut down on the percentage of flavorings and additives in my juices because the normal recipes taste way too chokingly intense on it.
Not all is rosy though. The Tornado has it's flaws:
Doesn't come with a spare glass.
No 510 adapter included in the latest batches.
The floating deck can be a pain to some builders.
The positive pin's gold-plating can come off.
Inconvenient to break in a new coil or dry-burn because the barrel must be screwed on in order to make contact.
Very tricky to remove the deck while there's still juice in the tank (solved by slapping on a vape band to help hold the glass in place with the top cap).
Wicking dual coils is a bit tricky to get right, but dead-easy for 4 or 6 coils. It needs a lot of cotton, and dual coils with ID of less than 3mm can be prone to leakage.
The top fill has a lock which is good, but no stopper to prevent the fill cover from being pulled off. The upside to that is everything in the top cap can be disassembled for easy cleaning.
Despite all those flaws, I find the quirks and shortcomings to be worthwhile....only because of the excellent flavor and thick vapor. I just use 2 normal coils on it; no need for claptons or more coils. Some time back I wrote that my Billow v3 was a "waste of money", and still stand by that even more so now. The Tornado was cheaper, and outperforms it so much.
