Just paste little bit is more than enough.Have to remember that the paste will be putting under the heatzink, the paste will be squeezed flat. |

guys...i just try to oc my presshot....i change the cpu clock to 154 but at cpuz shows my FSB at 160 ... i dunno why....i think this is the stable setting for now as it don restart again ... dunno la wether it will restart if i left my pc later...wanna run prime95 .. then i dunno how to use super pi...anyone care to tell???

The max temp is the load temp. For idle temp, just dont touch your computer there without running any program. read the temp.Good work, keep it up. QUOTE(kcng @ Feb 28 2007, 11:13 PM) Rlhh have new Thermalright XP 90 for sale. But if you are looking for a cheap and nice heatsink. Probably you can go for Scythe Andy Samurai Master like the one I am using now. Nice and only costs RM165 from lowyat forum.QUOTE(sang_karim @ Mar 1 2007, 11:54 AM) err..what BSOD bro??? There is alot of factor that will cause that. 1. What is your processor Temp? If too high, get a better cooler. 2. Probably your ram is not good enough for OC. 3. PSU not supplying enough juice to your system. |

rite now i'm still running sp2004...it just running for 1 hour...proc running at 2663Mhz and FSB at 148Mhz ... gonna wait n see if this is the stable condition ...
*aiyakk....the stop sign come again...gonna low the FSB again... This post has been edited by sang_karim: Mar 1 2007, 09:25 PM |

Like what irangan said, PSU may cause instability issue. Is the vcore flunctuate when load??*aiyakk....the stop sign come again...gonna low the FSB again... |

Hmmm...for your case, use 1:1 ratio for ur CPU and DRAM. PSC IC chips cannot scale high so 4:5 is out of the question.
There are several factors which can contribute into BSODs : 1) CPU - frequency too high/voltage too low, but in ur case, stock voltage shouldn't be a problem, so skip, just note the temperature. 2) Mofset (PWM) - if the temp of ur PWM is too high, it will restart. Take note too. 3) RAM ( timings, frequency, voltage as well as the ratio) - in your case, probably the RAM doesn't like 4:5 ratio. Another thing which can trigger failure in your SP2004 is your memory chips itself having errors or increase your Vdimm to stabilise it. Another way is to use 1:1 instead of 4:5. 4) Irregular voltage supplied - better to invest on a reliable PSU. Flunctuations too can be caused by unreliable PSUs as well as your mobo. Throughout my experience, ASUS boards too suffer from major Vcore flunctuations during full load. Take note of that too. 5) PCI/AGP option - Its best to lock it to the default specification of 33Mhz for PCI and 66Mhz for AGP. If your mobo doesn't have this option, I am sorry that your OC experience will be limited and you will get random lockups and BSODs due to your other hardware can't cope up with the frequency. |
