QUOTE(Dennos @ Feb 21 2007, 08:52 PM) coz tht is the best board for soc478, and is the last model Who told you it's the best? There's many more socket 478 motherboard that can beat that motherboard easily. There's: ASUS P4P800 Deluxe ASUS P4P800 E Deluxe ASUS P4C800 Deluxe ASUS P4C800 E Deluxe Abit IS7 Abit IC7 Abit IC7 Max 3 These are just a little numbers of the best motherboard for socket 478. P4P800-X is the best? I laugh out loud. This post has been edited by sHawTY: Feb 21 2007, 09:01 PM

p4p800x is not the best, but i can say is a good budget 478 mobo. little oc or stock normal system, it is rock stable mobo. off topic: rainingzero, your 2.8A got prob? i think you change with 2.4-2.8 northwood 533fsb(should be B) doesnt make any different IMO. If you looking for 2.4-2.8C then thats worth more. EDITED: stupid streamyx make it double post. This post has been edited by kabukiawie: Feb 21 2007, 10:30 PM

If you looking for 2.4-2.8C then thats worth more. not like that la.my proc in great condition....my previous P4 2.8A buyer just found his mobo not compatible with prescott. so wanna exchange to northwood. seems his mobo is old one.... so, whoever have can exchange.... to alexandros_18th: wanna buy my proc??2.8A... anyway, p4p800-x is budget mobo for oc-ing.unless better than my intel mobo...

i see, 2.8A is 21 multiplier? hehe... maybe can put in a higher hfm fan on your freezer4 to cool it down. @alexandros_18th make sure that your mobo support prescott. Are you using 865PE??

Are you using 865PE?? not sure la...maybe 21multiplier (can check my thread)... Tested last week, putting fan from diff angel/place.push & pull is the best.what can i get is,in slow mode,my proc can cool down 5'c cooler and with full speed, only cool 6'c (1'c margin there).this i get when full load.the temp while idle not much diff compared without additional fan.will try to use other fan...

Stock HFS even louder when full load. maybe you can get a silent big fan to blow it. Of course you have to mod to clip on the freezer. Can the freezer fan be removed? QUOTE(shinjite @ Feb 22 2007, 01:54 PM) 2.8A Prescott is with multiplier 21 133 x 21 = 2793Mhz yup, calculated already. dont know hows the oc performance and heat. He got the same stepping as mine.
