proper cooling is a must if really want to oc prescott. as long as the temp is under control, prescott is a nice gem. 

Yes a HT core is really better than the one which doesn't have.HT makes you feel less lagging while doing applications and gaming.

the temp is kinda hot la, but normal for prescott i think..
mine idle 50-52c and full load around 56-57c...

i tested my freezer4 ability by oc my friends proc 2.4c to 3.0ghz.temp not exceed 48c.but when pairing with my proc, it's really hot la.but compared to stock heatsink this one totally silent....

last time i modd my freezer, adding additional fan (pull n push configuration), manage to decrease the temp around 5c...

something like , after changing into new mobo , boot the hard disk , then put the xp cd and reinstall window ?

I tried to OC my cpu from 3.0ghz (200mhz) to 3.37 (225mhz)
the idle temp before OC is like 45C,46C and after OC 47-51C. full load before and after remain at max 53C after I've applied AS5 to my cpu + stock hsf..
izit normal? i mean the temp barely get higher..

so...would it go extreme if i try to OC it to 4.0ghz?
btw, i noticed that the ram clock also change with the cpu clock..if i change the cpu clock to 225, the ram has the same clock..
will the ram go hot? how to see temp of ram?

well to me at least can use Vista without problems ok adi
and btw, our old school rigs are still strong, why change? XD

I don't see a reason to change unless u're a gamer or need to do extensive 3d rendering for your assignments and encoding.

if possible just direct screw the fan on the alu net(promised that wont spoil the net), blow air on your HFS. 

my friend tried to put 4 fans on his panel like yours, 2 intake 2 exhaust. Not so loud if you using silent fan. i still remember his 7000rpm delta fan playing hard rock concert on the alpha cooler

currently i open my side panel and a stand fan blow directly to it. lucky dont have cicak lipas. My prob now is the dust.

last time when my stock fan was running @ 5000rpm like that, the sound was already terrifying... can feel the table vibrates... 7000?!?! OMG....

What do u mean by fluctuate? U mean voltage drops when you stress your system? If so, get a better PSU, certainly will help.

ever try 1:1? i think currently you are running at 4(cpu):5(ram). the ram cant keep up i think, have you try loosen the ram timing?

he using enermax FMA 460 true power psu la. i think is not the psu, i suspect settings or even ram.
