QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Jul 3 2007, 11:03 AM) ops....my mistake.. I think that maybe the performance of running 1:1 below 220FSB is not so noticable. btw......normally what i saw 1:1 having the better performance than other divider. i tried 220fsb 1:1 and it seems not responsive at all. especially when switching windows you can feel the lag. Now i just use 5:4 running at 235fsb. Everything is fine smooth and responsive. |

P4P800-X doesn't allow to o/c too high for the 800FSB proc. We need higher Vdimm to help our RAM to go higher speed.

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Jul 3 2007, 04:16 PM) hiaz......nvm la...just use as it is. if having 2.8 vdimm then it will be sweet. Dont know why i cant run my ram at c3. I'm using the default Vcore, never change the value.I think should be 1.525V default.1.55V is ok for the proc,it won't harm the proc.Regarding your RAM,i'm not sure with the Kingmax RAM. But usually the RAM should be adjustable to higher latency one, yours in high performance one or value series?btw, how much you set for your vcore for your 2.6C?? i set mine at 1.550v in bios, is it too high?? |

I think should be alright as your CPU temp is quite low.I guess only 32-33 degree celcius on stock cooling.

QUOTE(BurgerRI @ Jul 4 2007, 03:01 PM) After my recent episode with the dying 2.8E proc, I'm expecting another proc to arrive with a P4P800-X mobo.... Max out at 2.68v only. I didnt reailse the P4P800-X doesnt have such a high Vdimm...whats the usual OC'ed Vdimm that everyone here runs? |

Yours is precsott core,so can go higher on this mobo.Mine Northwood core can only max at 3.4GHz on this mobo if i'm not mistaken.Between, you are using 1:1 divider on the mobo?

I think 4GHz should be able to acheive about 34s in Super PI 1M.

I think is due to the bandwidth problem.I try on my proc before,3.25GHz can get roughtly 41s in Super PI.

QUOTE(KahLooN @ Jul 5 2007, 03:03 PM) Comparing Northwood n Prescott, the different on the L2 cahce is that significant to achieve a better result in SuperPi? I think the minor different of L2 cache is not so significant. In this case i know that the bandwidth help us a lot. Btw, last time i do manage to squezze around 39.97sec on 260Mhz. The result achieve using my previous MAX3. Too bad the board is gone case. |

QUOTE(KahLooN @ Jul 5 2007, 05:20 PM) Yeap, the ratio 1:1 is best if the proc and the ram able to push higher. Else the divider got its own usage also. Oh you used the P4P800-X before?I tried to search around the function in bios before but end up couldn't found any settings. If im not mistaken, is under the Memory Management. PSB400, PSB533, PSB667 and PSB800. Coz last time i play with the option before. |
