I beat full tier3 mage with Atiesh(PvE speced) and Warrior with Might of Menethil(PvP speced) with my priest(PvE speced) because of my class advantage. I've done 5 rounds against any class.

If a mage with tier3 with atiesh speced arcane power, I won't have any chance to beat them because it's too cheesy. Getting sheeped eating 5k fireball crits is not something that needs skill. Warlocks could kill you with 1 deathcoil combo at this gear level too. Rogues that speced PvP with double trinket plus tea has zero chance for priest to win if they are not PvP speced.

Any dps class now outdps heals too. Priest's main strength is healing if you are not shadow. I have to heal till oom or no chance to heal at all at tier3 level.

Don't talk about skills if you don't experience the damage from dps class at tier3.

Gear definitely > skill now. Any mmorpgs don't need skill anyway.

I already started playing cs and sc again after retiring for more than 3 years. No point wasting my damn time playing competitively on WoW cause gear of classes spoils the class balance it used to have last year.

Now thats the problem. Priest is called priest coz they heal . If a healing class outdps a dps class dont you think there is a problem there?

And skill is not damage. Skill is skill. Get that straight. If skill comes from how fast you can whack a person with omg trinket-pom-pyro then you are totally misguided. Skill is the fact you can outmanuveur and use the correct spell at the correct time. Dont talk about skill if you dont know what it is.

Edit: Sadly i agree that gear sometimes really make a lot of difference. unless you are really really good.

Edit again: But damn, don't you love it when you are undergeard,under assault and are running solo while able to whoop those that are above geared. more then 3 and are good combination of class?

i survived BWL up to Nef and up to fankriss in AQ40 with a 2 pieces of t1, 1 piece of t2, some pvp pieces (pre 2.0 that is), ZG and some random blues, i'd say skill > gear any day of the week.

you'll change your mind in naxx =) to be honest , the only place u start noticing gear importance is twin emps onwards

in the case of pvp , its rock , scissor and stone , just that in WoW , with skills or gear , scissors can beat stone and so forth
pvp is the only field where skill can make as much of a difference as gear , in my opinion at least

u survive cuz its a 40man run not 1 man run heck a green can survive bwl or aq40 when others all are epics.


some bosses are just plain dps only not much skill is needed like example patchwerk spam dps spam healings ofcourse that fight is also a gear check.some u need skills like grobbius a pally kitting those zombie will need some skills if not those zombies will attack the raid .

the only fight I found challenging for the first time is razorgore... That fight plain need teamwork and skills...

pshh alliance = ez mode. try being horde for once.

Killed Viscidus before? It's horde ez mode on this one but I did it. Infact Razorgore is easier for horde.

Gear > Skill in some situations....skill > gear in others, there is no hard and fast rule.

My friends and i can do UD in 29min with baron down, in aq/zg gear, while some ppl in T2 still cant do it, so skill > gear

My guild hit a roadblock at ossirian, while we were still in zg/aq gear, wiped 10-15times, as we couldnt keep our MT alive....so we started on MC, when our MT's and OT's had about 3-4 T1 we went back and wtfpwned ossirain with the same team....with no deaths, so gear > skill

choose horde for pvp,choose alliance for pve =) but that is going to change when bc is out

Why oh why did they decide to put a "pretty boy race" into Horde? Sigh...
