The earlier City gets knocked out the better it is for Pep. The further Pellegrini takes them the more pressure it is on Pep to replicate it.

How about bayern vs city in final and in the same time city not top 4 in PL. Pep have to decide whether win and no CL next year or lose and play CL next year. Its all part of pellegrini plans. Mind blowing plan laugh.gif

FA desire to punish Chelsea's Diego Costa perceived by Guus Hiddink

QUOTE
Guus Hiddink has accused the Football Association of going out of their way to punish Diego Costa after the striker found himself at the centre of a series of controversial incidents during Chelsea's FA Cup quarterfinal defeat to Everton on Saturday.

Hiddink revealed that he had a private conversation with Costa about the incident earlier this week and added: "What I smell and didn't like, and what I spoke about with Diego, is we both had the feeling [the FA] could not charge him on the kiss, 'but let's see what else we can get him for.'"
http://www.espnfcasia.com/chelsea/story/28...ish-diego-costa

sometimes you think is all Mourinho's antics, mind games and some say his excuses.. but if Hiddink also says the same thing, you cant deny there is some truth in it

I say knock them out! Then he can do what BVB are doing this season in the Europa League - domination! Easier trophy to win in his first season than the CL.

They absolutely despise him over there in england, and its plain to see when even the commentators / tabloids were trying their level best to conjure up some biting incident which didn't happen. Even when those stupid slowmo replays were being played over and over, any bloke with decent eyesight could see there was no bite whatsoever. I don't blame him for wanting to leave. Too many pussy epl defenders will try and get him sent off anyway.

As long as we get top dollar and a decent replacement we'll be fine. But gotta say there aren't many who has his kind of fight and fire,so we should still try and persuade him to stay and help us get back a CL spot.

Guus is right, although his reaction was a bit over the top,it always seemed likely that the FA will throw the book at him,one way or another.

Looking forward to seeing traore leading the line or out on the wing, and please Guus let's see what pato's made of. He can't be much worse than oscar who has no business being in the squad for this match.

No Diego, no goal.

Prepared for the worst, cave with A/C to battle the heat. Draw would be awesome, victory would be a miracle. Defeat is just shame.

JT past his best. That's all I can say. Big mistake by Guus bringing him back for such a difficult game and messing with the back four imo.

I dun blame Oscar on that goal, I blame the defense line, look at JT, Cahill and Iva's position. No one is looking at Carroll. Only Iva. And the last defender has to be the quickest to response to play the offside. Bad bad defending imho.

And also Iva, just throw ur body and lunge at the shot la, u stand there for wad???? Carroll for sure will shoot dy, ball on his left side, his strong foot. doh.gif

So what if you think he should have started the game. You asked why he was brought on? And he showed it. Whether or not he starts the game has no impact on the decision to sub him in which has paid off. By your logic if a player who should have started the game but did not, should not even be considered to bring on even when the manager for whatever reason realized his mistakes and tries to rectify it albeit late. Heard of better late than never?

lol. Just now on call with gf when we were 1-2 down. So did not hear commentary, watch while on call with gf. Hold back when Fab tried that bicycle kick and when he scores the penalty. And RLC shot in the last few minutes laugh.gif

I only see 2 players with fighting spirit today. Azpi and Fab. Fab tried and tried. While Azpi did very well on both end. He even have the chance to score, but he is a defender. tongue.gif

Remy was terrible, so is Oscar.

Lanzini's goal I think there's ntg the defense can do bout it. Beautiful goal. But Carroll's goal. Just look at the replay. JT, Cahill and Iva looking at the ball only, no one notice Carroll at their back, wtf. Please keep track of the attacker la! doh.gif Sad to say this, if Zouma is playing, he could've win the foot race with Carroll and put in a block. Cahill and JT is well below par today. Both goal also their fault imho. First goal they should just put their head to the ball and clear it, but hesitate and let West Ham players head the ball. Second goal, both had eyes at some other place instead of having them on Carroll.

Before the game start I would say we should get 3 points. But taking into consideration of West Ham's recent form, and we went 1 goal down, I gladly take the draw.

*
Like I said don't get your panties in a twist. It's all good if you're a fan of the old and outdated school of late subs for players who were useless for 99% of the game. But I'm not.

'better late than never' in your opinion. All I see is a coach who's afraid to take risks in what's left of a season with NOTHING to fight for. RLC should've started or at least oscar should've been nowhere near the squad.

Undeserved favoritism for players such as ivanovic, matic, etc is what got us to this position in the first place so yes I'm not a fan of players being in the first 11 based on reputation alone.

Go enjoy whatever team you're supporting mate. Why stress yourself reading a thread of mostly frustrated fans this season? laugh.gif

fabregas just proved that he is not the rat... we all know who that guy is. and i think i agree, fabregas can be our next captain.

should have started with a lot more youngsters in the team. kennedy should be a confirmed starter now. for me, let us forget about hazard. he is out for a month with injury and i think he need to sort himself out or wait for the next manager to decide what's going to happen with him. RLC should get more game time... oscar the small team-bully is our seasonal flop. wonder why he still get the nod ahead of RLC.

the result is a good one. mid table team going against a team vying for a CL spot.

Equaliser was down to oscar giving away the ball and west ham broke with speed. Yep poor marking from Iva and courtois can't even catch a cold these days.

But it all started from that one mistake. I'm going to be highly critical of oscar as he's been horrible, arguably from day one. Gets on my nerves when players with room to GROW and DEVELOP such as kenedy and RLC are kept out because good ol' oscar somehow casts this great illusion of being great which has worked on mourinho and now, guus.

Baffling. Can't get my head around it really. MOTM fabregas,by a country mile. The others...haih.

Too many chop and changes to the defensive line.

Started the season with Azpi, JT, Cahill, Iva. Then JT + Cahil partnership not working, turn to Zouma + JT. Then JT injured, Zouma + Cahill. Then Zouma injured, bcum Iva + Cahill. Now move back to JT + Cahill. sweat.gif

Look at last season. JT + Cahill thru out.

And also Courtois game time with the team is less this season, due to his injury mid season. Bego played quite a lot of match.

Miss the old golden triangle. Cech, JT, Carvalho.

No like I said. Decision to bring him on as a sub has no relevance to the decision to not start him. Completely different cases here. I'm not disagreeing with you that he should have started the game instead of Oscar. You questioned the decision/point of bringing him on yet it was immediately justified. The criticism should not have been "what's the point of bringing him on" because the point is to rectify the mistake you just mentioned, that he should have started but it doesn't mean the substitution is wrong, just that the mistake of not starting him shouldn't have been made in the first place.

Note that I'm in complete agreement that Oscar is overrated and shouldn't have started. A "lazy" Mata would still have been more productive than Oscar's overall output. Remember there was a time people thought Oscar>Coutinho?

no choice also. injury has hit out defense line pretty hard this season, esp when Zouma got a serious injury. he is our fastest CB.
JT + Zouma pairing is still the best, 1 focus on leading and positioning, the other focus on physical and speed. Courtious also not doing well this season, but defense always gotta look at the unit as a whole. not commanding enough as well for Courtios.

Defence: gotta sort out Rb/Lb. Jt n Cahill is ok, since when Zouma comes back will be rotated again anyway. And is it just me or does Azpi look better at LB than RB recently? 😓
Mid: Fabulous from Fab, RLC needs matches and an identity, Mikel is ok, Willian needs to rest and refresh, y is oscar still playing???
Att: What happened to our strikers? We supposed to have Costa, Remy, Falcao, Traore, Pato. But without Costa our att MIA. Only once or twice Remy/Traore was in central striking position. Most of the time no attacking focal point

Can we just end the season and start discussing bout Conte and next season? laugh.gif If Conte is to use back his favourite 352. I prefer something like this.

-----------------Courtois---------------------
-------Zouma-----JT---------Iva/Cahill----
Azpi---------------------------Rahman/Kennedy
-------------------Fab------------------------
------RLC/Matic-------Willian/Oscar--------
-----------Costa-----Traore/new striker---

Fab will play Pirlo's role as deep lying playmaker. RLC and Willian will play Pogba and Marchisio's role as the dynamic midfielder to support the midfield offensively and defensively. And buy a new striker! tongue.gif

Hmm okay yep u do have a point. Guess the utter frustration of watching chelsea (specifically oscar) makes me post some weird stuff sometimes. Apologies bro.

I guess I just wish RLC started and we might even have won the match,as exhibited by his dangerous runs into the box. He made 2 good attacking runs/movements,one resulted in a (debatable) penalty and the other left him with an unmarked shot in the box. That was within a space of 10 minutes, imagine if he got 45 or 90. But as always these things are subjective,he might've got 90 minutes and still have an atrocious game.

Yes Guus tried to rectify that mistake..but man he took his time doing it. The biggest consolation is it did have an impact (hence it wasn't pointless, as you said) , and hopefully he trusts him enough to give him more playing time.

p s: oscar must be an absolute beast in training, that's my only theory so far. Well I'd rather have kevin de bruyne who doesn't train as 'hard' (as infamously claimed by jose) but brings his A game during matchday. Enough of players who flatter to deceive, and I hope conte realises oscar's true 'ability' really soon.(preferably when the transfer window's still open)

Courtios is absolute not convincing at all this season. The two goals he leaked might be the cause of defender's mistake, but if that's Cech in between the post, he would've saved it.

Remy put on weight, he seem to have given up hope to stay in Chelsea. It's our fault for not giving more chance to him. Ba and Remy.

Seem like most of players in Chelsea squad are just playing for the sake of playing. No urge on winning like how we used to.

not convincing but still acceptable for me. i'd rather blame our defensive team. HORRIBLE
kotua was seriously injured earlier this season. to have him back is good alrd since it will boost his confidence.
our defenders...omg ...so many mistakes.

remember how we praised begovic as our motm week in week out despite leaking so many goals earlier this season..

both goals yesterday (kotua full stretch edi..can see slow mo)
& how the hell it was courtois fault when payet can easily slot that pass to caroll? it was realllllllllllllll easy for payet

My avatar is very kiut la. laugh.gif

Now many big teams dropping points, and we are mathematically impossible to be champions this season. 8 games left, 24 points for grab. At least reach 55 points and we should be able to be on top 6 or 8th spot. I guess we will need to salvage what we can for this season, sell the players who does not have desire to play for Chelsea. After EURO16 finish, Conte takes control of the team and starts to praise players of his wish to join us. No bull crapping anymore as we aren't suppose to be in this transitional period since we won BPL last season.

We did actually try to solve the problem during mid-transfer window. Just that only his contract clause is to train with first team and warm the bench. I have no seen him performing at all since his loan sign. Falcao is another fail loan since he cannot adapt to BPL style. Injury and french league might be the cause of his lost touch. Remy, put on weight since the last time I saw him. Had given up on hopes to stay beyond this season.

Expect a major overhaul this season guys. Without UCL competition, I can tell many players will seek opportunity elsewhere for career advancement. I personally would want to see some of our youngsters to step up since we have nothing to lose for next season. Throw them some games on League & early stage of FA Cup. Versus weaker side, field them. Let them gain experience.

I'm hoping for some of the underperforming first team players to be cleared out as well. Hazard's mind is clearly elsewhere and we might as well cash in now before he gets worse. I dont even mind a swap for Bale or something.

If Madrid really come on door knocking, I'd rather cash + Varane. We are dying for solid + quality defenders. He is the only player I want to sign from Madrid. Midfielders in Madrid are too diva-like. Not doing any good for club affairs.

Our defending department is really an issue that needs to be solve as soon as possible.

Since Ivanovic just renew his contract, he can stay and prepare Miazga while Cahill and him start on middle. Zouma come in once in a while to get prepare for big matches. Our full backs are the main concern since we do not have a fix left back. Move Azpi to RB, train Kennedy to be an effect full back or get a proper left back. We do not have a proper left back since A.Cole era. Since Ake not interested in coming back, might as well cash in.

33 loanee this season. I guess we can at least salvage some of them to get involve into first team action next season, and sell those who are planning to leave.

I was thinking, is it really Emenalo fault? only his recent signing (few transfer windows) have some issue to break through to first team. Baba, Papi...to name a few. Maybe he was instructed to reduce on spending.

Earlier, we have some good talent at our disposal. De Bruyne, Schurrle, Mata, Lukaku, Hazard..and zouma too was introduced by emenalo right.

by doing well u mean he is a game changer there? he scores a lot? assist a lot? please don't compare with this season's oscar... Mata used to be our game changing player. I don't see him doing that with Man Utd... you see him doing great with Man Utd because the rest of the Man Utd players are below par (no offense Man utd fans)

if you really wanna compare here are the stats for this season BPL

Juan Mata
Appearances: 30
Home grown: No
Goals: 5
Assists: 4
Yellow cards: 4
Red cards: 1

Oscar
Appearances: 23
Home grown: No
Goals: 3
Assists: 2
Yellow cards: 4
Red cards: 0

from the stats, not much difference to me... both are shitty this season... unless u wanna think otherwise... then ok, you win

credits to Willian, he improved the most the season. stamina and work rate still there, becoming a freekick specialist. still needs some work, but he is getting there. maybe a bit burn out recently since he been playing so many games and got EURO to prep for.

he stepped up his game... and he should really do more counter attack by dashing through the middle of the park... he did it in few occasion this season... but not often enough... Hazard used to do it last season... hopefully Pedro, Willian and Kenedy/ RLC will do it next season. we need to get back our fearful counter attacking style.

first and foremost need to fix our defense. cant counter attack when opponent score when they attack laugh.gif
and we also very susceptible to the opponent's counter attack everytime we attack with our passing passing passing

most probably Emenalo's bright idea to loan Pato..
last 8 games is the only chance to make an appearance for him and ship him back. Falcao too.
Remy too if a club comes knocking. give chance for youth strikers next season, hopefully Bamford or Solanke. maybe get 1 more as back up to make up 3 strikers

Watford want Chelsea loanee back next season

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/201...ack-next-season

Watford also interested to sign him from us, with a rumored quoted fee of 3m.

good thing is he just signed a new 5 year contract with us, lets hope we dont end up selling him

Cortouis is not the same anymore. He is below par. Not to compare with De Gea ( I had DDG but this season he is phenomenal).

Hazard- might as well strip his PFA Player of the season that he won last season.

Terry- Not the same player was. Clearly exposed by pace. Same problem as Demichelis of man city.

Should give Pato a chance to be in the main eleven, just one game with him. Really a benchwarmer.

Terry is getting old. No replacement for a JT. He may be the best ever but Chelsea needs new blood to maintain squad defence. Old man have experience and insight but lack the youth. Young man lack the experience and edge but he can run around.

Courtois and confidence.. He's no de Gea not Cech not Joe Hart not even a Schmeichel. Decent GK but certainly not the cream of the crop. He might be on par with Mignolet.

Kortua with our taufu def line also keep conceding, look like shit this season.
Cech go Arsenal actually doing very well, considering their def line can barely def anything, always out of position and ump in for tackles.

give kortua some time, very easy to forget he is only 23 years old. we saw him at a different level last season, so we know his quality is there. he needs a more stable CB pairing in front of him and a def line that he needs to learn to command.
in the end, defense is still a team effort. everyone needs to do their job.

This season Oscar missing in every game but the game vs mk dons. Mata play very well when he deploy in his best position which is just behind striker. No fancy dribbles. Simple 1 touch football.

If follow your reasoning, Willian also doing good in most part of this season as other players play like shit eg: Oscar, hazard (fan n Costa during first part of the season). He shine in some big games. No argument on that.

On kortua, got to agree he is kind of step down two level this season. Even high ball also can't collect as comfortable as last season. That lengthy injury could be the reason.

fb group soljabiru say we'll sign Bonucci and Hummels to beef up our defense. I say pass me some of them weed. Bonucci I can see coming, but Hummels too? hmm.gif

Bonucci maybe...
Hummels? I think he rather choose Liverpool as Klopp is there

lets do the squad review.

Goalkeepers
Thibaut Courtois > Asmir Begovic > Marco Amelia >

Defenders
Cesar Azpilicueta > Gary Cahill > Branislav Ivanovic > John Terry > Kurt Zouma > Ola Aina > Baba Rahman > Matt Miazga >

Midfielders
Eden Hazard > Cesc Fabregas > Ruben Loftus-Cheek > Nemanja Matic > John Mikel Obi > Oscar > Pedro > Willian > Bertrand Traore > Kenedy >

Strikers
Diego Costa > Loic Remy > Pato > Falcao >

our top 5 most prized asset will be Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard, Deigo Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Zouma

I think we will keep Courtois, Fabregas and Zouma.

I can see the possibilities for Hazard and Costa to move somewhere else ie Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

the players that we should move on from are Ivanovic, Matic, Mikel, Oscar, Remy, Pato and Falcao.

unless they are in our next manager plan.

worst case scenario.

Goalkeepers
Asmir Begovic > Marco Amelia >

Defenders
Cesar Azpilicueta > Gary Cahill > John Terry > Kurt Zouma > Ola Aina > Baba Rahman > Matt Miazga >

Midfielders
Cesc Fabregas > Ruben Loftus-Cheek > Pedro > Willian > Bertrand Traore > Kenedy >

Strikers

We look really thin sweat.gif. With money will be a big issue for roman nowadays, i hope our scout can spot decent talent with decent price. Hope kenedy will be regular starter next season if hazard gone. And i really hope azpi will play on the right instead of left where he can cross the ball better

If azpi revert to the right, we cant left kenedy with baba. Both also defend fail. So either baba need to up his game or find another player.

I have no comment on midfield sweat.gif. We need another maestro or play rlc with another dm with defensive mindset like mikel and put fab at middle or vice versa

Defend need to use player with pace like zouma. We really lucky to have zouma.sweat.gif

Striker?no idea laugh.gif. All i know i wont hope for someone big to come for striker position. A player who can give good finishing and wont waste most of the chances would be good enough

He is doing too fine, Watford wanted to turn this loan spell to permanent.

Throughout the years we had chased many valuable youngsters away from us. Bruma was suppose to be the successor of Terry with his physical build is similar to Terry. MvG, Marko Marin, Kakuta. So many players who had indirectly destroyed because we deemed that they are not "good enough" and yet want to tie knots with them. bye.gif

imo if conte come to manage us next season we need to call christensen back.

he is better than miazga iinm. hes doing good at BMG plus got champions league experience under his belt.

and van ginkel should not go out on loan again. at least he can give some competition to oscar and fab on the heart of the midfield.

sell of remy if only we got an offer that meet his price, and promote bamford to be our second striker together with Traore.

so we actually dont have a thin squad. we have enough cover for each position.

I just want to continue on the importance to use our youth now. i listed them based on their position. as our team will not play in the ucl next season it is time for us to finally give our youngsters a chance to shine. who knows we might get our own delle ali or harry kane or rashford. lel.

GK- Blackman. if cortouis leave begovic will be our no 1. so blackman is a decent back up, need to gain more experience though.
DR/DL- Wallace, he can play as both side fullback, right and left. Nathan ake also can operate on left side and as well as defensive midfield.
CB- Kalas, Christensen, hector, omeruo and papy. At least Kalas and Christensen should get a chance to step up to replace terry.
DM- Nathan Ake.
CM- Nathan (the brazillian lad), mario pasalic who now on loan at monaco, lewis baker (our former u21 captain), chalobah, van ginkel, danilo pantic and piazon.
RM/LM/LWF/RWF- Piazon, Cuadrado (dont forget him pls), marin, moses.
FW- Bamford.

What i would like to say here if there would be a major clearout, we still no need to push on panic button as our loan system might be our savior here. rclxm9.gif

Last time Blackman played, he was extremely horrible.

Cuadrado can't adapt to physical match. Serie A suits him better. Should sell him while his valuation is high.

Bamford looked unable to cope with Premier League. He is also not good enough for crystal palace. Why should he play for us? Same goes to Victor Moses too.

Our vast loan army strategy produces a lot of failures but there are some gems. IMO, amongst our brightest youngsters are Traore, Kenedy and RLC. They should continue fighting for first eleven. OTOH, Ake, Kalas, Christiensen, Nathan, chalobah and van ginkel must impress whoever our next manager is.

We are champions of england and we should not settle for mid table with these mid table level youngsters.

Hahahaha

I think a lot of us has high hope towards our loanee. As much as I would love to believe to, I don't think that's going to happen.

Conte is tasked to rebuild, not promoting. And i think he will be handed a lot of amount of money for transfer.

"We know who we are, we know who we are, champions of europe, we know who we are" this chant alone shows the fan's & club"s expectation.

Conte wont be given the luxury of time for us to sit in the mid table with mediocre players to develop. The aim is to win. Sitting in mid table will hinder the club's growth, losing a lot of money that the corporate people in our club knows we can earn.

And before you know it the club will have conte sacked too. Sad to admit but this is the way our club operates.

That heel goal is like a tribute to Cruyff from Vardy, don't think Rooney can pull off such a quality goal even if he could captain England vs Germany match.

Oil has been rock bottom the last 1 year...honestly i think we gonna be linked with most top stars and after much negotiation breakdown we gonna keep signing ppl like djilobodji, pato, baba rahman, etc...

If this keep up and the youngsters cant prove themselves we will be liverpool mach 2

Not a finance person but roman is worth 7.8 billion usd. He also said he doesn't care about spending money. All he wants is trophies.

yap he ready to splash the cash..but it will disturb the self-sufficient plan by the board..the only way we can spend more than usual is when we ready to sell before we can buy..

another thing to consider is that our board in loved with financial fairplay..so..expect that to factor into any decision made by them..

plus roman have another project..the redevelopment of stamford bridge..that alone will cost him 500mil..

no european football.

no official confirmation on manager.

Yes, you are right.

It is sad state to know we are now in.

Better confirm Conte fast after Euro. But in this upcoming pre season, we are in trouble without any manager coming in yet.

And here I thought we all already have enough of player power. Later manager performance affected cos players dun wan to play for manager and not play well when players selected by manager.

i kinda agree with this guy, I think Matic will excel under Conte. Conte is known to like his CM to be box to box. If Conte can bring out the best in Pogba and Marchisio, I'm sure he can bring out the best of Matic! flex.gif

Italy lost 4 1 to germany last night. Didnt watch the match but i was hoping that the defense are solid. Dunno what formation conte used but if 3 5 2 with 4 leak goal, we gonna have a bad time if the same happen here.

On thw other news, hazard only sub for belgium and tibo still leak goals. Wanna blame his national team now? hmm.gif

yeah i think so too. we often have high expectation of the new manager. ends up all got sacked. every other league, only 2-3 teams that can challenge for the top position. EPL is really competitive. i think our problem is just the players la. they are not willing to fight, that's all. look at leicester, no world class players pun but they play every game with everything they got.

Not that I wish for bad luck for Conte. I hope Italy gets knock out in the group stage. That will give more time for Conte to assess our squad and study out squad. This time we need a proper preseason, we need to start early, let Conte analyze the squad face to face in the training ground. We need to let Conte see if our squad is suitable for 352, and also what players we need.

who knows Conte will say, 352 is not suitable in BPL, so I'll be switching to 433 or what.

If Italy make it to the final, then that means Conte has less time to analyze our squad. sweat.gif Same like last season again, poor preseason.

Both Martinez and Rodgers have used it with some degree of success but only in short stints. Martinez's was when he saved Wigan from relegation in the final run in of the season quite a few seasons back. Rodgers' was when Liverpool had quite a streak mid season after switching to it due to early season struggles.

No one has yet to use it full/long term and has had success with it in England. But that maybe due to a lack of sample size since it is not popular with managers in England and probably not something English players are used to playing in.

Costa ban extended
1 match ban + £20k fine

According to Guus Hiddink, Costa's now fully fit after battling through a nagging injury, and would be playing if not for the suspension.

Good solid win. Finally a clean sheet.

Pato motm for me. Involve in 3 of the goals.

But he look like out of stamina in the final 20mins or so.

Leicester back 4 really solid.

Combination of Newcastle reject, some guy that play most of his career in lower division, stoke reject, and some guy from below average bundesliga team.

Looking at Leicester team as a whole really is surprising at how ranieri can form this kind of squad.

Other rejects: albrighton (Aston villa reject. Lol), Nathan dyer (Swansea reject).

Happy for schwarzer. He might win a premier league medal end of this season.

Just managed to watch the highlight...

Mikel's exquisite close control build up that lead to the first goal... this guy is getting there to be our next Makelele.... awesome display.

Unselfish play on the Pedro's first goal... credit to Pato and Oscar with the one two play in the area...

Pato's penalty... initially Pedro wanted to take the penalty... but Pato ask for permission... good display from the team... Even Cesc go to Pato and give few words of encouragement.... And after Pato scored, Iva the captain is the first to congratulate him... I'm liking the mood of the team now... it is more unity. very good to boost Pato's confidence.

the fluidity of the team shows.... but maybe due to Aston Villa... would love to see this kind of confidence against the tougher opponents. KTBFFH!!!!

COSTA can leave if we get good offer for him. For me he keep doing those antic on the field without thinking for the team then that is just plain selfish. He is just unreliable, a red card, a ban will just hurt the team and might end the good work all the player put out for the whole season. Let say we have a chance of winning a trophy but our main striker keep getting silly yellow/red/ban shakehead.gif Not to forget those antic will bring media pressure on the team as well.

Conte’s three years in charge of the team between 2011 and 2014 yielded three straight Serie A title.

The Bianconeri also won two Italian Super Cups with him in charge. Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Carlos Tevez and Arturo Vidal were among his signings during a spell so productive he was named Serie A Coach of the Year in all three seasons there.

Under Conte’s management, Italy qualified for this summer’s Euro 2016 finals undefeated in their 10 games.

Conte’s coaching has been characterised by tactical flexibility and he achieved the remarkable feat of an unbeaten league season at Juventus, becoming only the third Serie A team to do so. Impressively, that was in his first season in charge (2011/12) and in 2013/14 the ‘Old Lady’ recorded an all-time Serie A record of 102 points.

In his three years as manager, Juventus lost only two home league games, contributing greatly to their new stadium being considered such a success.

Quite impressive stats he got there. Lets see what he can do with Chelsea.

Keep
Thibaut Courtois, Asmir Begovic, Cesar Azpilicueta, John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Kurt Zouma, Cesc Fabregas, Nemanja Matic, John Obi Mikel, Eden Hazard, Willian, Bertrand Traore, Kenedy, Diego Costa.

Discard
Gary Cahill, Marco Amelia, Loic Remy, Radamel Falcao, Papy Djilobodji.

Give time
Oscar, Pedro, Baba Rahman, Matt Miazga, Juan Cuadrado, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Alexandre Pato.

We needs a striker to keep Costa on his toes as in give him competition if not better more than willing and capable. A creative box to box midfielder more or less game changer and possibly two defenders (left back and central). As a whole the more competition for places the better to keep everyone on their toes and most important give more opportunities to the youths out on loan to prove themselves.

Discard Cahill and we will have trouble when the injury spree strikes. He arguably considered a consistent performer (only when he tags with someone that is above his standard). Hate to admit that, but you remove an experience defender like that is going to cause the same problem like how Terry's contract are still pending for renew.

For me, I'd go for this;

Keep
Thibaut Courtois, Asmir Begovic, Cesar Azpilicueta, John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Kurt Zouma, Cesc Fabregas, Nemanja Matic, John Obi Mikel, Eden Hazard, Willian, Bertrand Traore, Kenedy, Diego Costa, Pedro, Matt Miazga, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Alexandre Pato

Discard
Marco Amelia, Loic Remy, Radamel Falcao, Papy Djilobodji, Oscar, Baba, Cuadrado, Salah.

Those that I discarded, is either they are not good enough or they are not interested in playing for Chelsea anymore since their loan. I guess there's no point in persuading them to stay with us since their heart is no longer with us. Highlighted in bold are having rumors to leave Chelsea and I honestly wouldn't stop them from leaving since they have plans on leaving. Why want to force stay when they have no interest in playing for us anymore?

I do think it is time to let few of our youngsters to play since they have shown significant contributions throughout the struggle that we are currently facing. RLC and Kennedy is going great and Traore starts to score goals. If we limit their appearance, they would be the next to force an exit like Lukkaku and KDB.

*
keep in mind that we will be without europe and need to sell before we can buy...so we might need to sell a few big players if we want to reinforce..unless Roman willing to invest..its been a while since he really splash the cash..

so Tibo Hazard, Costa, Oscar and Cuadrado (at least we can get half of what we've paid) might leave..depend on how big of changes that Conte wanted it to be..

i think even if we sell, we should bring up youth to replace them. reinforce only if needed.
really doubt RA will pour money since we got a stadium to build.

Oscar can fetch a good price, bring up RLC and Baker. i think Conte will like Cuadrado, might possibly see him back in the line up. Costa and Tibo, technically we cant sell since its going to be hard to replace, but if good price and they wanna go, then let them go

Now i dont worry much about hazard leaving us because we got pedro and kennedy biggrin.gif

Need to focus on defense and find a good playmaker for am. And need to find decent striker who can tap the ball into the net. No more uli uli bola infront of the goal post. I like to see more direct play next season

oscar tops my discard list. followed closely by falcao, remy and papy. hazard is a special case. deep down, I hope he stay and show the desire to win things again. but if he think he is bigger than the club, we better sell him to the highest bidder. on matic, I think he is having the worst season in his career. I would like to give him another chance to get back to his best. I can't believe a midfield colossus like him in the middle of the park can suddenly out of form for the whole season. got to be dark magic or something...

JT is also a special case. if we are going to rebuild, I think we are better without him. start fresh. either willingly or forcefully, somebody need or will take up the responsibility to be the new spine of the team. I have high hopes on RLC. he got the build. he got the 'look' to be a new leader. some new comers got this babyface look on them and senior players might not pay attention to them. not in the case for RLC. really hope conte can make him into some sort of new pogba hehe

I dont strike hazard as a hardworker. He is a diva

And matic, I agree with u he's been underperforming for the whole season. And when guus came in also he didnt really have the chance to play. It doesnt take a genius to figure out what's happening

JT might be the bridge for conte to settle in at the club. We need his leadership but I also have a mixed feeling about this

RLC need to increase his work rate. Mourinho did mention he doesn't fight (the one when he was subbed in and immediately subbed out) if he can work and straighten the problem should be ok

I do have high hope on van ginkel though. Hopefully he can emulate fab or lamps.

I hope we keep JT one more season. We need his leadership still in the locker room and Zouma and Cahill still rely too much on JT to know what to do.

Keep him one more season but with a more reduced role on the pitch, teaching our defenders to defend instead.

Other than that, i agree with everything else. Hope we can keep Hazard but if he still don't want work for his place in Chelsea, wanna go somewhere else, milk him for every cent. Oscar can sell for a good price, he says he wanna stay but he not showing it on the pitch. Just glimpses of what he can do.

Matic is a beast, just really no form this whole season. Under Conte hopefully he will shine..

we cannot let Willian go la. even our so-called best player Hazard also useless if he doesn't want to play for the team.

Willian shows that he willing to not only fight for his place, but for the club. and he still improving. if we can get a chance to get Pogba, swap with Oscar + Cuadrado. maybe + some cash. can even throw Papy in too laugh.gif

Yup we need a world class complete midfielder. Pogba can play as central defensive/holding midfielder, central midfielder, deep lying playmaker, box to box and even central attacking midfielder.

Then a solid hardworking central defender.

But then again, its kinda hard tho. No UCL. Sigh.

He already have all the basic to play and survive in Premier League, he was too young back then. And he not give a fcuk when SAF turned him down. Pogba had left the club after not signing a new contract.

As with most fantasies, this would be far too good for Chelsea. Pogba is of course the holy grail, and while Oscar is still young and Willian was our best player this year, they are both more replaceable than the most highly rated young midfielder in the game. Throw in the ready-made Terry replacement in Bonucci, who, much to my surprise, will not even turn 29 until the end of this season, and this is one of those fantasy trades one might pull off.

It actually makes sense. Chelsea get one of the world’s best midfielders to feed their sense of superiority, while Juventus get Oscar - a player they have already tried to buy - and Willian, who has been the Blues’ best player this season.

Pogba & Conte have good relationship. It was Conte that bring Pogba to Juve if I'm not mistaken.

As for Conte match fixing scandals, it will effect to Serie A only. It wont kacau his role at Chelsea (I read this somewhere).

Don't see the point of throwing in Willian. Cuadrado playing for Juventus and playing good. If he capable of persuade Pogba to come back with him, that would be good. Throw in Oscar, anytime anyday. I am done waiting for him to perform. Oscar + cash for Pogba anytime. Else throw in Cuadrado to lure. Easy as that. And no point to throw Willian because he never said he wanted to leave. So why want to unsettle him? laugh.gif

As for Pogba is BPL proven, don't think so. He hardly play for Man Utd during his days in Man Utd. But his physical definitely can adapt in BPL since he is quite rough as well. laugh.gif
