Object  will not move most of the time. Photographer has to move for different light source and re composition. Sometime photographer photographer can ask the object to move for better composition. This rule apply all kind of photography except wildlife photography.

Recently my 50 1.2 lens was spoilt again.
This time, the top ring came loose.
It's where the filter thread and Red ring is.
As a result, the focus ring was shaky as well.

Apparently it's a common issue.

Lens work completely fine though.

Sent it to canon service center and they charged me just RM150 for the spare part with no service fee required. Turnover time just a few days.

Was expecting a lot higher. So kudos to canon for this.

Guys, since I've moved to fuji mirrorless my camera bags can no longer serve it's purpose. Too big for the mirrorless camera, so if any of you are interested pls contact me.

Cheers!

Yes man, that's one thing Nikon and Canon trump over all the other guys

Their service centres are brilliant . Very competent and honest.

I actually requested for Lens clean which will cost rm200 which I'm fine but he say actually just a tiny speck of dust, so just don't bother.

My friend sent his Nikon 24 70 for service, was like few hundred also, but literally a damaged Lens to a new Lens condition kind of thing. Really awesome.

Dear Sifus

I have been using 450D for the past 10 years & the recent 2 years been lazy to carry a heavy DSLR and opted for GoPro. Now I am thinking to come back to DSLR by looking at 5DM2 has dropped below RM3k. May I know is it still worth to get 5DM2 at this moment? I just enjoy taking scenic photo & not a professional photographer, thus I never consider sky high 5DM3 or 5DM4.

Thanks for your advice in advance

Hmm.
I would consider current generation of mirror less camera.
Either from Sony, Panasonic or Olympus.

Why?

Because the 5D2 is big.
Chances are you will feel lazy to bring it around as well.
Also, the technology on the 5D2 is dated. It will perform far better than the GoPro or 450D, but existing current mirrorless might be good enough for you.

how about 800d or its cheaper brother 750d? should be still light weight enough for you to carry around more often.

both should be around the same price (maybe higher a bit) as those used / 2nd hand 5d mark 2

if wanna high texh a bit, 70d or 80d but both is much more expensive.

price of something like a used 750D is quite cheap actually, should be under rm2k.

used 70D is around rm2.5k, as for 80d its rm3.5-4k.
