so i just bought a new 80d and was quite shock to find that canon can be so cheapskate lol they don't even give you a usb cable to transfer photos from your cam to the pc.

i downloaded their EOS utility app in PC but the transfer process is too slow, it took me 45 min - 1 hour just to transfer 25 RAW + jpg images.

normally where u guys get the camera cable for pc? or you opt for memory card reader?

ya, cheap cheap only, i got mine from aeon big, it has a glowing changing neon micky mouse logo!!!

Question about SD card. I'm quite tired of waiting after long exposure shots. Will the speed be quicker if I change to a faster sd card? Or is it because of the capability of my camera body? I'm currently using Sandisk Extreme Pro

yea it's on. thank you for pointing it out. i just did a test with noise reduction off and it's normal now.  wasted too much time for waiting in the past

need some expert review.. sigma 17-50 or canon 15-85 ?

btw is Sigma 17-50 f2.8 better than what Tamron has?

M3 11 street offering 2300++ ,as for m10,the price is cheaper,which only cost around 1600++,and if bundle kit lens and 22mm,only 2300++ and above..

Still worth buying if u want something small, as m3 slightly bigger than all m1, m2, m10

some vignetting towards 300mm, but autofocus was pretty accurate
seems to be much better than i have expected lol

but people like me always love to try using el-cheapo lens coz that's what i can afford la, and if the performance can rival the better ones, why not?
28mm surprisingly good with minimal distortion! feels like typical 28mm, bokeh also pretty decent

Yeah, the 24 70 at f2.8 is really soft

Of course people have high expectations for the 5D4.  Whatever the specs are now its not going to update for like 4 years.  And video was the focus because that was the area canon been weakest against its competitors.

And many video shooters are Canon users.  Well a lot did jump to Sony.  But Canon users want to see something future proof.  5d3 did that future proof job well as it is still seen as a great camera today.  People worry this might not be the case for 5d4.

And videoguys don't like to be told to buy a pro video camera.  Its expensive.  That's like telling  photographers to go buy an expensive medium format.

Anyways Dslr and mirrorless are seen to do both photos and videos.  There's no turning back.  Even fujifilm has joined in with their xt2 with 4k and f log.

Right now....
If there is a metabones option for canon 5D4 in 4k mode.... Then I might still consider.
Else the Sony camp is a lot more tempting.

The C500 had a major price drop recently. But it's still very expensive at nearly twice the price of the 5D4 while losing almost all photo capability of a dslr.....

If you want proper 4k without all that severe rolling shutter, overheat and 30min limit, videoguys need to save up. Otherwise like how most Photoguys is content with FF instead of having medium format, videoguys need to be content with 1080p or cropped 4k instead of FF 4k.

Another example, which really baffles me why some people has sour expectation of D5 and 1DXmkII for having such limiting 4k feature when those two are supposedly marketed for pros who need reliable af and blazing fast fps for shooting fast moving objects. You don't see them bringing that camera around to say Rio Olympic just to shoot 4k, do you?

Or get GH4 (or new up GH5) with speed booster and an already wide selection of m43 cinelens.
