I think combination of the following proposals successfully solve the traffic issue in BMC

1) Blocking right turn from Jalan Cheras Lama (Hulu Langat direction),
2) Disallow right turn from Industrial Area, lengthen the divider

This eliminate the one traffic light, lesser waiting time

3) Lengthen the green light light to 75 seconds
4) Opening of SJKC Bdr Sg Long, lesser parents's car enroute to GS Highway

In fact there are proposal according to reports below but not all implemented

MPKJ has requested EKVE Bhd to upgrade Persiaran Mahkota Cheras 1 in anticipation of surge in traffic after opening the highway in 2019.

At the moment BMC traffic enroute to GS Highway is very smooth from morning rush hour unlike few months ago people come out to protest, hope EKVE will further improve it.

At least five residents and activists were arrested this morning while protesting the construction of high voltage pylons in the residential areas of Taman Cheras Hartamas.

Do you have the map of this pylon and cable, I believe this connect with HTC at Taman Connaught & BMC Langat 2.

I seen that map in some website once but unable to locate it again.

The distance between house and pylon & cable as close as 42m and the transmission line surrounding Hartamas Cheras.

...

In an email reply, TNB vice-president (transmission) Datuk Ho Peng Choong said the high voltage transmission line project will proceed because of the urgency in supplying power to the Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant project and the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang line.

“Both projects require electricity supply by December 2016.

“There are no encumbrances for TNB to proceed because it has obtained legal approval to enter the site as stipulated in the Electricity Act 1990.

“It has also obtained approval from the state government for the right of way for the transmission line since August 13, 2014,” he said.
..
“In addition, the matter was also deliberated 13 times in the Selangor Economic Action Council meetings since 2009.

“The state government, taking into consideration the views of all parties, approved the transmission line alignment on Aug 13, 2014 after exercising due diligence on the possible options, including the ones proposed by the residents,” he said.

I found it at last, this is confirmed the transmission line 275kV is start from Taman Connaught, pass by Taman Cheras Hartamas and connect with PMU Mahkota Cheras. Luckily for BMC because its affected area is jungle but unfortunate to Cheras Hartamas resident as the transmission line is very close to their house, property value sure drop and their lives also may be in danger, not sure I am not expert. Some researcher said distance between residential area and transmission line should be 1,000 feet.

Dear Sg Long members, heard from an agent that there will be a new launch in Sg Long end of this year? 40 acres land, near Palmwalk, priced approx 600k for a terrace house.

Is this reliable and genuine ?

How "near" is near, if within 2km there is no 40 acres vacant land for terrace house.
