what's the reason?  for Krisflyer or Asia Miles?
*
this card is all about miles so yes, I believe enrich still will be attractive with certain promos

My Premiere card annual fee will hit me in a few days, based on last year's statement it'll be in late August and I'm only at the RM75k range this year since most of my normal spend is on other cards.

Tempted to cancel because I'm annoyed at Maybank's attitude but the earning potential is far too lucrative...
*
that is very close for waiver, have you called them?

To convert treat points to enrich miles, must the treat points be under the reserve card, or can I also transfer my treat ponts from my platinum card to this reserve card to get the special rate of 1000 enrich = 4770 treat points?
*
Used to be easy to do this but now it depends on the CS.

I guess it depends where, JNB and IST seems easy but my random try on Melb was all waitlist as usual.

Wow, when did u try? From where to London? I juz tried from Spore to London & it's SGD200+ tax/surcharge.
*
Manila, as ignorantcow has shared.

QUOTE(limeuu @ Oct 12 2016, 12:31 PM)
bne is also always on the waitkist...

i redeem for specific purposes, not for "surprise me" type of holidays....mostly to australia and mainly bne and mel...

i am holding back converting my points, as sq is difficult to get confirmed seats, and mh is cutting throat with miles and surcharges....cx is just too troublesome routing through hk....
*
even before the devaluation, Mh redemption is only worth redeeming when they have the 50% promo.

QUOTE(ignorantcow @ Oct 11 2016, 07:07 PM)
For those converting TP to KF, I recently came to know that that SQ doesn't impose ridiculous high YQ ex-MNL, so that makes it extremely worth it for med to long-haul redemptions if you're willing to take a short repositioning flight (KUL-MNL on AK is ~RM300 o/w).

Example: combined with the ridiculously low (mistake?) pricing in J to Africa, ME and Turkey, it opens up possibilities like flying to JNB on SQ's brand new A350s, for only 38k miles + $15! Not bad for a 10 hour flight plus access to Changi's lounges. Similarly you can fly to IST (11hours) which will basically get you into Europe.

I hope someone finds this useful!

bro further to your post above, i've written a post about the above redemption trick with credit to yourself in my FB page.

guess what maybank officer offer me ? he ask me pay my FD with my card ..... this sound crazy, going to see them see what they offer CC to FD ...... than 80k per year is not issue ...
*
Sorry you need to rephrase your words, what is "pay my FD with my card"?

I am one of those that pledge FD to get the card, what is your exact problem? Pledging basically mean you tie your FD to the CC to compensate the difference of CL that the bank is willing to give you & the minimum CL required for the card.

Any idea if Krisflyer gives better value for their miles compared to Enrich? For eg. how many points required to fly KL-London on business class? Because Rm1 = 1 Mile is almost comparable to 2CPremier
*
Krisflyer award chart is more refined, 14 zones vs Enrich 7 zones.

You can compare yourself but don't forget about the plane that they operate. The worst you can have with SQ is the 772 while with MH you might be stuck in a 737.

Redemption online with kf still gets 15% miles discount?...

Problem with kf is I need to start journey in msia, not sin....still two minds about where to direct my points....

And yes, I hate to have to call cc....rather do everything online....
*
yes kf gives 15% foronline redemption.

you can start from KL in your itinerary, in fact I dont think it will cost you additional miles for transit.

does Enrich imposed expensive YQ surcharges for One World partner redemption? never tried before for One World partner redemption, but for MAS itself the YQ surcharges is super expensive
*
I dont think MH has the right to impose YQ on behalf of other OW airlines?

CX has rather low YQ, you can try to simulate the cost on asia miles.

Hi wanna ask redeem for enrich miles is better or spend it on tp redemption like 400 / RM1 cash in retails? Going to cancel the premier card due to not hitting the spending last year
*
miles if you fly long haul, on promo business class redemption you can get like 10-20% in cash equivalent.

but it meant nothing if you don't redeem.

Should be 1 year of card anniversary, not calender year. according to MBB CS.

I'm still pissed at them for not transferring the bonus 3k miles after RM 3000 spend.
*
I am so fed up with them

I owned the card since April and spent >20k on this card, they only transfer twice to my KF acc in April and today yet the total is less than 7k KF miles but in my statement the pts are deducted to 0 every month. I have made not less than 5 calls to them to complaint and everytime they assure me it will be ok.

so pissed off today and wrote them a very harsh email.

On the other hand, the Singapore AMEX is so efficient. they transfer the miles to my KF acc before I even pay my first statement. And their promo are so attractive, 5k miles for first time application after first use, 3k for spending $700 within 6 months.
