i use ernie ball 008s. I like the strings thin beacause they're much easier to play. I would consider trying the yngwie malmsteen signatures, if i can get my hands on them.they're apparently .032 for the low E or something like that/

i'm using Ernie Ball Stainless Steel Slinky, it last longer than the normal slinky in term of rust and in term of tone i like the stainless steel string tone better ... i like the stainless steel feel than the normal nickel string ... btw, i'm using .010 - .046 gauge

from the ernie ball website they also have this Reinforce Steel String, i would like to try it if i found it ...

I still like the new Dunlops...... once my current pack runs dry, I think I'll order in a box of 10 or 20.
Gotta love the .60s!

But yeah, the .70s are CRAZY......
Zakk uses it on I think 2 guitars...... both drop tuned to BADGBE..... On the early Black Label Society stuff...... especially on Sonic Brew and Stronger Than Death....... the BADGBE rears it's ugly head..... but super cool tone......
Check out No More Tears 2000 and Superterrorizer for the killer tunings.

My .60s are already close to breaking the neck...... and the .70s will just kill it on normal tunings..... IF I get a Gibson Les Paul Standard, the Gibby will be standard tuning on .42-.10.... the LP-100 will be half stepped down, and the LP ZW will be A Full step down....... then I got the complete set!

EX-hardcore Ernie Ball string user here.. Years back.

From the Regular Slinky 46-10 , to the Stainless Steel 46-10 .. And they all sucked a$$. Hate ernie ball so much, after trying other brands.

The Stainless Steel tone is DEAD, seriously. Unless you're like metal/distortion all the way, then maybe ok lah. But it's so dead, strings also feels lifeless.

And one thing about Ernie Ball, they snap real fast and easy.

Never looked back in regret after I stopped using Ernie Ball.

I think you're better off spending ur money on the normal slinky or D'addario strings instead, altho D'addario's not my type either.

Been using d'addario 9-42 and 10-46 for more than 10 years now thumbup.gif
Although I always encourage myself to try all the brands of strings out there...

I miss Dean Markley Blue Steel, those cryogenics activation strings, dunno where to get 'em in KL...been using those strings alot when I was in Europe years ago...the breakage fatality of that string is almost zero/nil... laugh.gif

Right now using Slinky Custom Gauge, 9-46...pretty versatile, you can shred the bottom strings while still bend the top strings like crazy (also nice tapping and pull off/hammer on)
