whats the difference between nanoweb and the normal one (tone wise)?

edit: normal one refers to normal elixirs
*
oo i now can answer ur question

nanowebs are alot brighter sounding while polywebs are more balanced sounding
polywebs also reduce finger noise =]

looks like i'll be sticking with .11-.49
since my guitar is alr setup for that gauge =D

my friend uses elixir bronze on his acoustic light gauge .12 - .52
really nice
it really gave a new sound on his acoustic
his d'addario only sounded bout the same for 3 days
then it died, dulled out
=/

sorry d'addario fans tongue.gif

This thread deserved to be bumped. TQ.

Normally, how much is a set of  D'addario EXL120?
*
it's around rm20-22.

i started out wih ernie ball. but they tend to rust on me pretty easy. same goes for gibson and fender. then some years back, i couldn't get an ernie so ended up with d'addario exl120. been using it since on my electric guitar. i like how twangy it feels biggrin.gif. it tends to get warmer as the string ages, by my ear that is. last quite long too.

using ernie's earthwood on accoustic. great sound. but the wounded strings gets dead pretty quick. any recommendations? preferably something cheaper with less tension and same gauge.

or could it be that the string is slowly dying? tongue.gif

i will always use ernie ball as its a good compromise string.
sounds just warm enough, and most importantly doesnt break.

one of the warmest sets i tried was the fender bullets, but they break very easily.

i would still change strings every 3 weeks if i actually played often enough, now i damn lazy.

and rajautara, the neck wont break.
i use the same ernie ball 11-48 on one of my guitars also, you just need to adjust the truss rod alittle if you tune in standard.

Anyone know where I can get Ernie Ball Power Slinky strings around PJ ?

Harmony Music?

Currently using 46-10 regular slinky ernie ball, snapped them so many times during jammin that I have to put in new strings a few days before any performances. Starting to loose faith in ernie ball.. shrug.

thats where i get mine, else bentley.

btw, your string snaps.
where do they occur?
you sure its not the bridge saddle or nut giving problems? cos its not that hard to constantly snap 10's.
