For my acoustic guitar, I use Fender 0.10 but it seems not enough strength ... since i'm a unplugged performer .... that's not enough power compare to 0.11 or 0.12 ...

Elixirs nanoweb
.11 - .49 will go .11 - .52 cuz i didnt know they had that gauge =p really lasting strings its the 4-5th month, no signs of bad rusting only the coating is peeling off abit and they sound really bright, which really compliments my guitar darker tone |

some ppl commented that coated strings r abit dull compare to non-coated strings...but superbly long lasting and less squeeking sound from the string...if ur not those who r too picky abt tone...elixir would be a very good choice...
d'addario EXP is oso coated strings like elixir...nvr tried b4...but read it in some other forums that this string sounds better than elixir..yet had the same features of elixir.. |

I dunno how true this is, but my friend who tried the D'Addario EXPs tend to sound "dead" after a week. Anyone can verify this?

QUOTE(changhao @ Jan 20 2007, 05:22 PM) I dunno how true this is, but my friend who tried the D'Addario EXPs tend to sound "dead" after a week. Anyone can verify this? i use ghs fast fret on mine and the hold for at least a month. Same for the EXL nickel wound bass ones. Unless you are talking about the EXP phosphor bronze. They tend to be less bright than the pure bronze ones. |

Ernie Ball...10-46 best suits my guitar....for D' addarios...09-42 would be better....before this i'm using GHS bommers 10-46...not really suits me...bend-up could be a litle hard...and i choosed D' addario for its coloured ball ends....Ernie ball for long lasting....and GHS Fast Fret to protect string from rusted...
