Please understand this statement. Don't block the access to fb when using the monthly quota.

Obviously, the network team and their managers forgot something very crucial: FB is also an identify provider for many other websites like Instagram, Vimeo, Spotify etc... Users CANNOT Sign-In with FB on their desktop browsers when using tethering.

DO NOT subscribe to HOTLINK FAST and the FB 999GB data plans.

QUOTE(trademarkedTM @ Dec 10 2017, 04:37 PM)
So glad i found this thread and it's not just me with this issue.

HOTLINK:
Read peoples posts and don't just keep replying with the same response because you DO NOT understand what the people here are trying to tell you.  Take the time to LISTEN.  These people DON"T CARE about the 999GB facebook and would gladly GIVE IT AWAY.  They don't mind if their facebook activity uses up their monthly quota, they just NEED some kind of facebook access via hotspot.  If you block the 999GB for hotspot that's fine, THEY ARE OK WITH THAT, but you are blocking them completely and they can't use their regular data to access facebook.

SOLUTION:  Allow facebook access through hotspot but have it count towards monthly quota and not 999GB allowance.  PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED.

HOTLINK:
DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Clearly, they don't test their new services before rolling them out. I suppose, they don't need to, business for them is probably.... easy.

As a work around, you can use a VPN service. I needed one for netflix and amazon tv, and my insurance company, so I decided to sign up anyway, but it's not an ideal solution for someone who doesn't otherwise need a VPN.

Maxis + hotlink FB page last update almost a month ago. They go full blown on "ada aku kesah" mode.

obviously, they dont understand the user behavior. they definitely set the wrong policies in the PCRF or PS core part. their marketing team not understand the user requirements. hotlink can just reduce the monthly quota for facebook via tethering but please do not totally block it. this is giving users bad customer experience. the one to be blame should be on the marketing team of hotlink. piece of shit.

Hi,

Please be inform that the Free 999GB Facebook Pass can only be use via the phone with the Hotlink SIM itself. If you are using hotspot/tethering, certain application such as Facebook & Instagram will be block.

Thank you for your feedback on this & we have highlighted this issue to our relevant team to look into it for future service enhancement.

TQ

Can you take away the "Free 999GB Facebook" from my monthly pass? You cannot force us to take something we don't want!
