I think you already know MaxShit was trying to "liok sooi" even when they are having a PR disaster. I cannot see why consumers should stay with an unethical telco. MaxShit is treating you like a Water Fish and make people spend more money on them. I would port out even if I have to pay penalty, just to teach MaxShit a lesson.

I still don't understand why someone should stick with maxis. Maxis one plan 98 is 5gb and celcom first go is 5gb + 5gb. Are there any hidden benefits in maxis one 98?

honestly, how many ppl will use more than 5gb mobile data every month kan? i barely go beyond 4gb with daily fb and sometimes youtube

For 100 users, this is the part where they need to spend additional 28, which is 28% extra, which maybe a lot to most (if not all).

I guess if Maxis stick with 100 plan or offer 128 with 28 rebate, that would be a wiser option.

On another topic, different and newer plans will keep coming, I'm also on the previous RM99 unlimited data plan (years ago for those who know), but better (or worse) package will keep coming, so just request for upgrade/transfer of packages, no matter what telco the end-user subscribed.

just called Maxis. Request to change my current iValue1 to MOP98, the CS told me cannot, not possible because of the difference of RM2 between iVal1 and MOP98....
asked me to change to MOP128, i said i can't utilize the data plan, why should i pay extra RM28/month for something i don't need, current MOP98 with 5gb is just nice for me. the whole conversation ended up i decided to pay for the penalty because i'm still under contract. After i do the math, if i change to MOP128, compare to i port out to celcom RM80 plan, over the course of 1 year, i still able to save more money....
honestly, a really stupid move for maxis for not allow his customer to downgrade the plan...for RM2 different they lost a customer....actually total 6 lines that i'm going to port out from maxis...really frustrated with maxis...

Does this MaxShit knows that say, 50% of those 100k port out, the loss in revenue per month is 50,000 X 100 = RM500k i.e. 1 year = RM60 mil? And those who ported out will be unlikely to port back to MaxShit in the next few years, let's say 3 years. The loss in revenue would be RM180 mil.

Is the penalty income + loss in RM2 per subscribers per mth worth the loss in revenue and goodwill?

Assume total subscribers loss due to this fiasco is 100K X RM100 (assume avg mth charge RM100) = RM10 mil per mth X 12 mths = RM120 mil loss in revenue. Also what about damage to goodwill? 

We can see MaxShit is trying to limit the loss in revenue by pushing subscribers to take up more expensive package which many subscribers may not need at all. Very sneaky.

Finally start using DiGi line with 7gb data.
