From my previous experience dealing directly with Varmilo, they have 2 base models for the VA87M, one with Gateron (black, blue, brown or red) for USD99 and the other with Cherry MX (black, blue, brown or red) for USD116. You will need to add USD17 for DHL shipping.

Base unit comes standard black case and metal plate. Keycaps are PBT with lasered side engraved in dark gray. As for LED backlighting, you could choose between red, yellow, blue, green, white, orange, violet or ice blue.

Other customisations come at extra costs eg mixing the switches, mixing LED backlighting, multicolor PBT keycaps, keycap legend, case and plate color.

Hi guys, would like to get recommendation for mechanical keyboard, been using the Ducky G2 Pro Blue Grey (Full Layout, Cherry MX Blue), planning to use this for office and get new one for home use. Please give me some suggestions based on the following criteria and I'll look for reviews:

1. Full layout
2. MUST use Cherry MX Blue switches (no Kailh or any other types please)
3. MUST use standard sized keycaps
4. Any profile is fine as I would like to try others too
5. RGB LED or completely no LED
6. No preference to any brand

I will most likely go wit hthe non-RGB one as I am not particular with the colour as long as it is blue or white. Should be fine.

Filco vs Varmilo?

Hard to find minimalistic looking TKLs....

The build quality of the Varmilo is actually quite good and yes, the floating keys look great! I have been rotating between my Varmilo VA87M with MX clear switches and Ducky One RGB TKL with MX brown and have to say the Varmilo feels more "solid". Thinking of getting the CNC Alu case that is currently on MD but really, the Varmilo is already very solid with its stock plastic case and steel plate.

I have been using the G900 for a bit now and have to say I'm loving it. Battery life is very decent at ~30 hours per full charge but of course, I have the LED logo lighting switched off (its under my palm all the time, where got time to look at it?). Recharge rate is also very fast!

Where did you get it from?

Most retailers are selling it for RM699. I was hoping to get them below RM600.

anyone here using Corsair Strafe Silent? Just trying to understand the tactile feedback definition here. Do you consider corsair strafe silent having a tactile feedback ?

i just bought the strafe silent and i think i prefer the brown switch feeling more, but i need silent as i will be using in room at night so not wanting to those sleeping...

My first impression of the Corsair K70 brown switches keyboard:

1. Very mushy
2. Tactile feel not as apparent as Filco or even Ducky and Coolermaster's variant.
3. Backspace key is noisy and doesn't really feel like brown switch at all.

Yes, ultimate zone. Price wise maybe they are not cheapest. Buy they provide most display unit for variety of model. Kinda good service.

For your budget, I will suggest you get a non back lit version. Else you have to compromise with build quality of casing and keycaps
