Unfortunately, I'm a "Banana" and can't help you with the Chinese translation. From my previous experience dealing directly with Varmilo, they have 2 base models for the VA87M, one with Gateron (black, blue, brown or red) for USD99 and the other with Cherry MX (black, blue, brown or red) for USD116. You will need to add USD17 for DHL shipping.

Base unit comes standard black case and metal plate. Keycaps are PBT with lasered side engraved in dark gray. As for LED backlighting, you could choose between red, yellow, blue, green, white, orange, violet or ice blue.

Other customisations come at extra costs eg mixing the switches, mixing LED backlighting, multicolor PBT keycaps, keycap legend, case and plate color.
*
Btw, how does Gateron compare to Cherry. Always wanted to try them out. Thinking of getting a VB87M but worrying about the latency of Bluetooth while gaming.

Hi guys, would like to get recommendation for mechanical keyboard, been using the Ducky G2 Pro Blue Grey (Full Layout, Cherry MX Blue), planning to use this for office and get new one for home use. Please give me some suggestions based on the following criteria and I'll look for reviews:

1. Full layout
2. MUST use Cherry MX Blue switches (no Kailh or any other types please)
3. MUST use standard sized keycaps
4. Any profile is fine as I would like to try others too
5. RGB LED or completely no LED
6. No preference to any brand
7. Budget: less than RM600 if possible, max RM800
*
Perhaps Shine 6? It comes with PBT caps. Not sure when it's gonna launch though.
Btw, +2 Filco and throw in an awesome key caps set!

Hey guys,
what do you guys think about Cooler Master Masterkeys PRO S?
It sort of fullfill my requirements of TKL, simple, with RGB leds.
Just hope to get some quick feedback whether it worth the price tag.

Thanks!

Bought one with Reds. Popped Spacebar. Dampened keystrokes.
RMA-ed it and top up for a Ducky One TKL RGB. Happily ever after.

But they have the best lighting effects though. BRIGHT AND VIBRANT AS HELL.

I have just ordered a Corsair Lapdop from Amazon. It will take awhile to get here.

Will get the Corsair K70 keyboard with brownswitch. Anything that I should be aware of for this keyboard?

Thanks.
*
Just went to Ultimate zone yesterday and friend picked up a K70 lux with browns. Aside from the non-standard layout. the rest of it seems solid.
It comes with 2 USB connector (1 is for the USB passthrough I think) and those thick ass cable can be trouble as I like to route the cable through the hole I drilled on my desk.

Letme know if you encounter any issues also. Have you downloaded the app?

nod.gif feeling kinda funny to be selling a pbt keycapped 60% rgb wireless Bluetooth gateron switched mech keyboard at rm350,  never thought it'd be possible doh.gif btw your future front print pbt keycap plans, totally black?
*
Sorry mate that I did not buy it from you as I thought browns were out of stock. Bought a used mj2 tkl from a friend. Looking forward of the feedback of the Anne Pro!
Thank you for bringing it into Malaysia.

How much did he pay for Corsair K70 Lux?

I will most likely go wit hthe non-RGB one as I am not particular with the colour as long as it is blue or white. Should be fine.
Thanks, I will ensure I do that. It will be connected to Corsair Lapdog and the hub inside of Corsair Lapdog is USB3.0. I think it will work fine.
*
He got it for RM579 for the RGB version. Not sure if the store sells non-RGB version. You can get non-RGB off Lazada for RM379 (RM429 - RM50 voucher), pretty good deal. But only red LEDS I think.

Get Filco.  smile.gif

+1, Filco does feel more solid to type on than the Ducky One. And that's comparing a 3 year old Filco vs brand new Ducky One. Not that Ducky is flimsy. Just that Filco is one helluva board.

Unfortunately, have not tried any Varmilo yet but those floating keys sure are sweet. Thanks to weak MYR, otherwise would've bought the Vb87m.

The build quality of the Varmilo is actually quite good and yes, the floating keys look great! I have been rotating between my Varmilo VA87M with MX clear switches and Ducky One RGB TKL with MX brown and have to say the Varmilo feels more "solid". Thinking of getting the CNC Alu case that is currently on MD but really, the Varmilo is already very solid with its stock plastic case and steel plate.
*
Damn. You're making me feel like picking up a VB87M. How's the keycaps? Are they as thick as the pok3r?

QUOTE(richard912 @ Aug 29 2016, 11:35 AM)
I have been using the G900 for a bit now and have to say I'm loving it. Battery life is very decent at ~30 hours per full charge but of course, I have the LED logo lighting switched off (its under my palm all the time, where got time to look at it?). Recharge rate is also very fast!
*
QUOTE(kianweic @ Aug 29 2016, 11:43 AM)
Where did you get it from?

Most retailers are selling it for RM699. I was hoping to get them below RM600.
*
The G900 is a definite go man. I've been using it for about 2 months. Performance wise, I can't tell a difference between a G502 and G900. Never encountered any disconnection aside from drained battery. I can attest as well that the battery life is great for a performance mouse. Mine is with LED @ 50% brightness. Polling rate 125hz for normal task and 1000hz for gaming. Not sure the exact hours but it last me about 1.5 weeks with daily short gaming hours.

You can get it at 480+ on Lazada after the UNITE100 voucher discount. biggrin.gif

Wireless since day 1. Lag, none that I can notice. Folks over at OCN rave hard about G900's performance.

Yeah saw a few reviews about it. It's only USD 99.00 tempted to pick one up and order a few switches off Taobao. But those red LEDs...

hi all...

anyone here using Corsair Strafe Silent? Just trying to understand the tactile feedback definition here. Do you consider corsair strafe silent having a tactile feedback ?

i just bought the strafe silent and i think i prefer the brown switch feeling more, but i need silent as i will be using in room at night so not wanting to those sleeping... smile.gif
*
Honestly, those are the quietest switches but also the scratchiest switches I've ever tried. IIRC, silent switches are linear switches, tactile feedback refer to the "bumps" you get on switches like blue and brown.

It will take some time to be delivered to my home.

Is it overseas shipping? Wonder if the minila is good enough for traveling jobs.

Wooden weirdest requires maintenance. I'm using a wooden weirdest from taobao. After 2 months, I rubbed off smooth coating of the wood. Its a bit rough now. Not sure what can I do to re-coat it. But it's a relatively cheap 1 (RM35+) for TKL size. But I prefer the stiff surface of the wooden wristrest. Look classier too! smile.gif

My first impression of the Corsair K70 brown switches keyboard:

1. Very mushy
2. Tactile feel not as apparent as Filco or even Ducky and Coolermaster's variant.
3. Backspace key is noisy and doesn't really feel like brown switch at all.
*
I think gaming-oriented brands dampens their mechboards. I think the CM Masterkeys Pro S has the most dampened keys of all.

Anyway guys, anyone interested in my Ducky One TKL RGB with Reds? Only few months old, wanna change to brown switch. Can trade with same model of brown switches.

Guys, how's gateron browns? Been reading that it's way smoother than the Cherry MX browns. I was wondering if I should switch my ducky one TKL RGB from reds to browns or get a vb87m with gateron browns. Are the gateron browns worth the switch?

Yes, ultimate zone. Price wise maybe they are not cheapest. Buy they provide most display unit for variety of model. Kinda good service.

For your budget, I will suggest you get a non back lit version. Else you have to compromise with build quality of casing and keycaps
*
+2 for Ultimate.zone

Their prices are actually considerably competitive (if you exclude voucher discounts). Great service. Bought a masterkeys pro s with popped spacebar but they actually agree to let me top up to exchange for a Ducky One TKL RGB. Besides, buying from a store is better than buying stuff online most of the time.
