QUOTE(Koki @ Mar 22 2016, 12:36 AM)
Guys I'm a little new to this keycap game, but I see that many of you guys here (and many others) prefer PBT over ABS.
Is it because of the durability of PBT from wear and tear (oil from finger)?
Also, PBT has a rough surface compared to ABS no?

Last question - advantages of PBT dye-sub?
*
My personal ranking:
1. OG Cherry PBT/ABS or GMK or BSP
2. Imsto
3. Signature Plastics ABS
4. Everything else.

For everything else:
1. PBT
2. ABS

So, what I'm saying is that it's better to get cheap PBT than to get cheap ABS.

Hi guys. I'm looking to clean my keycaps. I've got a white keyboard 2nd hand so the keycaps are a bit dirty. Any tips on doing this? I found this guide online.

Denture cleaners. Pop one tablet, put in small pail and leave overnight.

That or buy new keycaps wink.gif

+1 for polident. My dad steals mine for his dentures when he's in town also. Just remember to rinse thoroughly.

thanx for info.

btw it will not deteriorate(dunno spell) the legends?
*
It won't deteriorate. Just don't dry them with heat or under the sun.

If you're desperate for speedier drying, wrap them in a few towels, put them in lingerie bag (please tell me you have females in your household or just buy RM5 one from Daiso) and put in washing machine for low cycle. Then on to next step.

Personally, I air dry in front of table fan with a towel underneath. Overnight the bitch and it'll be dryer than... well, it'll be dry enough.

Gave the whole board away to my best friend. I gave him MX black previously but his fingers pussy.

NP. I did a lot of cleaning for salvage boards before.

QUOTE(Koki @ Mar 23 2016, 10:41 PM)
Ayy yo I'm back to report something on the Ducky One. Apparently the stabs on spacebar has a metal wire connecting both sides together.
No wonder the spacebar is so stiff!
*
That's the bloody god damn stabilizer. If it wasn't there you press right side or left side the key won't depress properly.

It's stiff because it wasn't lubed and tuned properly. Standard symptom of commercial boards and/or non-stock keycap.

Quick questions, for the both of you. Consider this an audition.

1. If I ask you to show up at my doorstep, no questions asked, how long will you take?
2. Hypothetically speaking, do you have a cleaver and bonesaw?
3. What's your policy on sharing toothbrush?

Anyway, jokes aside, I have very few friends. People I will actually say is my friend. Everyone else are just acquaintances.

It's not a noob comment. It's just a retarded statement. I, for one, am benevolent this morning and I am willing to consider that only the statement is retarded, not the user.

Had you tried importing one before?
*
Everything depends on the class of goods you trying to import. You need to check with LHDN. If I not mistaken, you can get it classified as electronic finished goods for private use and get zero import duty.

Sales tax actually at 17% and all.

Personally, I got most of mine at 0%

USPS uses the local national carrier when possible because they usually have a partnership with them.

hi guys, can i use this type of grease for stabilizers? no long term side effect on the plastic right?
the diff is real, no more annoying high pitch sound when pressing key.

Highly recommended for that class of grease. Tamiya grease/lube is designed for plastic-metal contacts.

So i have a half assembled board sitting here for centuries so i figured it's time i get that shit done.

I just ordered the switches from taobao and I assume it will take 1-2 weeks to arrive.

Anyone offering soldering service here? 87 switches + 87 leds + lubing/tuning stabs. I'll provide everything necessary except the lube.

Please help a brother out and pm me your best rate!
