just now google about the alarm disc lock...
makes me hesitate when some said and even post photos that it is easily broken..
now i was-was want to get the alarm disc lock...

need to do more research and reading...

You wouldn't go wrong with Xena. Get the one with large pin. At least 10mm.
Btw, any kind of lock is just to slow down or repel (they see you have big lock, they'll need to spend more time. More time equals to more risk of getting nabbed) thieves. Any lock can be opened, just how fast one to pick it.
Once I have a Yale door knob, oso can pick lock it, key maker told me it was very hard to pick it. Took him 15-20 minutes. He said if it was a cikai knob, skejap je...

i ride R25 daily to work/everywhere as well.

i use xena alarm lock (without using alarm function even when it has it because imho too sensitive) for my front disc and the free disc lock from shop for my rear disc and of course the bike's built in handle bar lock.

my office is at first avenue (1 Utama), its more "civilized" so incidents are almost nil here.
a lot of riders leave their jacket/helmets on their bikes too so that says something.

if you're not so fortunate to park at guarded place with rich people/tenants, then consider getting another chain or something to tie the bike down to a pillar or something similar
or if you got colleagues/riders coming in/out at the same time, can consider tying multiple bikes together however can be inconvenient as must share key and if one leaves the other is a lone bike which needs something else to die down to.

this is to prevent people hoisting the entire bike up a pickup truck or similar methods.

then there's people stealing accessories, i've got 2-3 friends faced the same fate, replacements are in the 2-6k (one friend had to claim total lost because there's nothing left besides the engine/frame) because theirs are bigger/more expensive bikes with brembos.

the best way is still to park responsibly and prudently. try to park at guarded basements with guards patrolling to guard cars as well.

thanks bro, will look into it thumbsup.gif

btw just 3rd oil change again on 2500 km, running on Repsol racing. holy crap smooth lol
http://www.repsol.com/es_en/productos-serv....aspx?JScript=1

first was 500km motul 3100 semi syn, second 1200 km yamalube full syn

videos of me playing around the engine revs to somewhat show it's smoothness in a bit hehe.

yamalube was a huge disappointment, even on just 1300 km mileage :/
motul 3100, being semi syn was for the most part, felt better than yamalube fully synthetic.

You on the racing version (red label/dark colored) or regular? (green/light colored)

my bike calls for 10w40 and considering the thing revs up to 14.5k, don't dare risk it unless i want to do UOA's.

the bike also calls for 5k km oil changes but i am doing half oci change.
this repsol oil will be in my bike for 2500 km then i will stick back regular 5k km due to financial problems that i can no longer sustain a half oci practice sad.gif

~rm40, from Tesco.
change at my regular bike shop for 5 bikes since bring outside oil instead of buying from them.

anyone got tried to use 20W-50 before?
my current demak dzm200 using this vicosity...
first EO use fully syn motul 5100, then jetron, then goes to Heavy Duty Engine Oil...

all same vicosity, but surprisingly HDEO way smoother and can rev higher...
then i change back to motul 5100, damn cant rev at all, acceleration totally kong...

anyone got experience in using HDEO?

btw, 10W-40 suitable for high rev like more than 10k rev?

this is a good input...
everyday weekday i goto exercise in botanical park after work.
that is a public where all just leave their helmet and belongings at their bike...
but the bike 99% normal bikes, not superbikes...

however, from time to time, i notice there will be some indians or mat rempits "patrolling" for prey...

I think you should follow your motorcycle specs.
Like mine is 10w-40, if I cannot find this, I'll use 15w-50. Most of the time, I'm on 10w-40.

you're right...need to go thru the owner's manual after i get my hands on my bike...

btw, superbike also got the same "break-in" as normal bikes?
like cannot ride more than 80km/h...or cannot rev more than certain rpm?

i goto LC135 thread, they have quite specific "break-in" method...

There are many methods of breaking in available on the net. You just need to choose whichever you like most. wink.gif
